Yeah like... that haunt came up way too early for there to actually be anything that I could really do, not to mention I misunderstood some of how it worked until I had already finished a move. I was hoping to make it through this turn before having no choice but to reveal.

I don’t think my role really affected my play but then I pretty much had no clue what I was doing.

That's what I was hoping . I purposefully waited to claim a number until I could claim his because he seemed the person least likely to actively argue his innocence.

I was hoping xofelf would live long enough to reveal. They would have had 6 Might, which would have let them rip through some of the physically weaker characters with ease. If they could have grave-robbed Silverclaw's Dagger and/or Throne's Armor, they'd be nigh-on unstoppable.

Well, not quite. The Heroes did have the Ring. Get that plus the Holy Symbol into Persephone's hands, and barely-hanging-on-to-Sanity Michelle goes down fast.

Fun fact, though: if Nancy had opted to explore, she would have gotten the spiders. xofelf would have instead got an item capable of healing Knowledge and Sanity.

I really didn’t understand what I was doing. I think the being punished for failing to do attacks thing, majorly confused me.

Normally there are no direct consequences for failing to attack in this game; this particular Haunt was an exception.

This time around, I tried to stick pretty closely to the in-game text, except where doing so would make no sense in a forum-based environment. I'm always up for feedback on how I can better communicate information about the game to the players.

Well, because I was so extremely worried about receiving any damage, I pretty much ignored my actual role and didn’t try to look for the traitor. If we weren’t going to be punished for that, I would have paid more attention to trying to find the traitor. I would prefer to have the game more emphasize sleuthing > self-preservation which is what I was doing and that kind of took the fun out of it too some extent for me.

I think there's typically minimal sleuthing in betrayal. The most challenging part tends to be in optimizing your moves and your team's moves to defeat the traitor, whose identity tends to be known. This was an unusual haunt, and xofelf was clever to hide their identity the way they did! Had me fooled
