The Rules

• ONE: FUNDAMENTALS
  • All site-wide rules apply. Read and respect them.
    
  • There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
    
  • Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, backup-moderator, or fellow players. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
    
  • Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
    
  • Play to your Win Condition.
• TWO: DAY PHASE
  • All groups with Private Topics (PTs) will be able to converse during any Day Phases.
    
  • Votes must be in the format of VOTE: PlayerName or
    Vote: PlayerName
    , or they shall not be counted. Abbreviating someone's name is acceptable, so long as I can discern who you were voting for without trouble. If I think it should count as a vote, it will.
    
  • Unvoting is not required, but is much appreciated.
    
  • Once you have reached a simple majority (half of all living players plus one) that person's fate is sealed and they shall be eliminated. Unvoting cannot change their fate.
    
  • Once a player is eliminated the game enters twilight until I arrive and post a death scene. All players may continue to post during Twilight.
    
  • Please post at least once every 48 hours. If you fail to do so, you will be prodded. If you fail to respond to said prod within 24 hours, you will be replaced.
    
  • If you get three or more prods, or fail to respond to a prod by posting in thread within 24 hours (or by PM if at Night), I will begin seeking for a replacement (this means the third prod functions like a notice that you are racing the search for your replacement.)
    
  • A deadline extension may or may not be granted; just ask.
    
  • If no player reaches a simple majority by deadline - no elimination is the result
    
  • Votes and Unvotes shall not count in Twilight.
• THREE: NIGHT PHASE
  • Nights will last 48 hours.
    
  • If I do not receive your night actions - they do not happen.
  
  
• FOUR: CAPITAL OFFENSES
  • Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, or backup-moderator. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
    
  • Do not quote or screenshot from a PT into another PT or Main Thread unless
    all
    participants have access to the PT being quoted.
    
  • There is to be no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
    
  • The following is a list of outlawed shenanigans:
    • Using invisible text, codes, cryptography, etc.

The Prince or Princess of Dragonstone is the title held by the Chosen Heir to the King or Queen.

They hold the following abilities:

Heir to the Iron Throne

Ascends to the Iron Throne upon death of the Ruling Monarch.

Has access to Small Council Meetings.

The Hand of the King is Chosen by the King to execute his Will.

They hold the following abilities:

Investigate Loyalty

Once per night you may investigate a player to determine their alignment.

This ability costs [Redacted] Gold Pieces to activate each time.

Lord Commander of the Kingsguard

The Lord Commander of the Kingsguard is chosen by the Ruling Monarch to defend their life.

They hold the following abilities:

First of Seven

Each day you must select six players to join you as members of the Kingsguard to defend the King.

Players may not refuse appointment to the Kingsguard.

This number will decrease as the number of players is reduced.

You may not select members of the Small Council or the King to be members of the Kingsguard.

Brotherhood of Arms

Kingsguard members will have access to the Kingsguard PT.

Kingsguard members will notify the mod by pm if they wish to defend the king. The King is immune to nightkills if all members decide to defend the king.

Coup in the Castle

If 50% or more Kingsguard Members decide to overthrow the King - they may murder him at night and install his chosen successor onto the throne.

If all Kingsguard Members agree to overthrow the Monarchy - they may murder him and his successor. The Small Council will be role blocked from committing any actions on this night. New elections will be held on the following day.

The Master of Coin is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the Kingdom.

They hold the following abilities:

Each day you may make investment decisions on behalf of the Crown

You alone will know the contents of the Treasury and the incomes and debts of the Crown.

During each day you may distribute gold to members of the small council for their activities on the following night.

The Master of Laws is responsible for enforcing the King's Justice.

They hold the following abilities:

The King's Justice

Each night they may detain a player for questioning.

The player will be role blocked from committing any actions and protected from all killing abilities on that night.

The Master of Whisperers is responsible for finding the secrets of the King's Enemies.

Grand Maester

The Grand Maester is responsible for advising the King and providing potions and treatments for ails.

They hold the following abilities:

Healing Salve

Each night they may prepare a healing potion for a player.

This must be done in the first twenty four hours after nightfall.

A player receiving a potion must choose whether to drink it - if they choose to drink it they will be protected from one night-kill attempt on that night.

This ability costs [Redacted] Gold Pieces to activate each time.

The Great Council

King Jaehaerys I has passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. The line of succession is unclear - as great lords and ladies, you have been summoned to Kings Landing to restore order to the Realm....

The Iron Throne can not stay empty for long, you have seven days to select the next King of Westeros.

Game Conditions:

Vote for the player you wish to crown King. With twenty one players alive, eleven votes will select a monarch - plurality rules will apply at the deadline.


The King shall have the following abilities;

King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men

You may execute a player during the day - this will end the day and replace the normal voting mechanism - this ability can not be used on consecutive days.

Lord of the Seven Kingdoms

You must select players to join your small council which will aid you in ruling the realm. Players may not refuse appointments to the small council.

Protector of the Realm

All abilities except for killing abilities will not work on you. Killing abilities will not work on you if the Kingsguard are loyal to you.

For the record, the first three are the only three I would definitively trust to be competent in the King position.

The latter three are possible. (VPBaltar's rusty which is why he's not up higher, Shea's less rusty but still doesn't play as often, Datisi does play but while he's obvtown when town I'm not sure that he's actually reliable when it comes to scumhunting.)

I think that, assuming LLD is town, she's the best overall holder of all the King's abilities. Dannflor would be good at selecting counsel to be bulletproof, Lukewarm would be good at selecting scum to execute, but I think that LLD is the best balance of all three.

Right now we're not voting for a player to eliminate them.

We're voting for an, ideally town, player, a town player that essentially gets a free vig shot, potential chance at a bulletproof, and gets to select a counsel which presumably does town things.

If LLD is town, she is the best player for all three of those overall.
