Faker as scum has plans and goals and I think there are so many other things that she could have done that would have been significantly more effective at improving the scumteam's chances of winning.

I don't have a master plan by actually doing that FTR I'm just straight up YOLOing the hell out of this game

I got the exact minigames I wanted from the starting point of shiki locking Wall. I didn't have nearly the degree of strategy or domineering that I do in most games, but I still played pretty hard and had several things in mind.

The idea was essentially that I could probably survive an early scumlean from cat in the Keep and maybe flip it by Day 4 or 5, and a combination of ffery's irl issues dying down and me having more time to interference would improve our chances at Gate. I didn't think me/cat was a good matchup in the Keep, where he can just ignore reading me entirely and rely on PoE, so I selected skitter to mitigate that possibility. I didn't think Tempest/fferyllt was actually a bad matchup at all in either of Gate/Wall, but that's a source of disagreement.

This failed for a few reasons, but #1 was definitely not properly setting up or utilizing fferyllt. I set her up such that she was going to fail no matter what game she got put in, and cat's most accurate point on my slot was in the partner read.

(I wasn't persuaded by him missing the parallel between our public positions, but YMMV. He had another point that Faker-town never gets left in Keep, which is probably true and it's why I made an argument that an absinthe-skitter swap would be an attempt to even out and gain some win % across both games, as opposed to putting all of the eggs into Gate.)

Reviewing the whole of 2180, you basically got everything I wanted from my side of things. I was just drinking too much Elmer's and didn't correctly predict the final outcome of those interactions, which was a completely unforced error.

That makes sense, I appreciate the strategic insight! I suppose it was easier to say with hindsight that the minigames would be uphill battles. At the time of choosing the groupings, it probably wasn't as clear as I thought it might have been. And it did do the job of making you look unpaired, in my eyes at least!
