, to see if the community has matured enough to be able to handle this idea without ego, without narcissism, respectfully, maturely, etc. I'm placing faith in the changed times allowing for this to be run without drama or issues;

If this project doesn't pan out for any reason (drama, community backlash, etc.), I will close this thread.

What are the rules for this thread?

Aside from self-nominating, all Title Fairy rules apply.
(Yes, including allowing occasional jokes, but please note the word

occasional

; keep it mostly serious, please.)
You must follow site rules.
You must not nominate off of an ongoing game.
Titles must follow site rules.
Most self-deprecating titles will not pass. I'll be softer on this rule than the main thread, but if it doesn't pass as a title someone else would give you, it probably doesn't pass for a title you give yourself.

Your title will still need to get the needed amount of support, and I still have final judgement on your selected title.
If I believe the title is just on username, apply equally to a large number of people, or will loose relevance very quickly, I will still veto the title.

The Process:

Any user who strongly believes they have a good, solid title for themselves creates

one

post where the advocate it. Think of it as a case in a mafia game, or a nomination in the scummies thread, or even a nomination in the normal title fairy thread. Except this one, you get one, and only ONE, post. If you mess up your title advocacy, too bad. That's it. That's all you get.

A user may only have one title self-nominated at any given time. If you change your mind on a nomination, you need to make it clear (ideally, striking it through) before making another nomination.

Users may

If the title gets enough nths, and if I approve of the idea, the title will go through, just like a normal title would.

Self nomming for Mystic Manipulator - partially a reference to maya Fey primarily a reference to a combination of my town and scum play that relies on heavy use of manipulation- even as town (to some peoples chagrin) the mystic part being a direct reference to the mysterious method I sort my reads.

It would mean a lot to have this title as it's one I felt fit me and my mafia playstyle.

She helped me realise why Mafia claimed Jailkeeper over Doctor. She also provided feedback to MargotRosa on her scumplay. Prism was the one who told me about RQS. She also provided feedback to Gamma Emerald in Mini 2221 (or was that criticism?).

Since we’re going back to late 2021 ideas, back then this was like the exact concept I had in mind for a potential title for me but I have a less glamorous self-image now so I’d like to put forth something like “unpolished” instead

Alright so most titles aren't gonna be accepted this quickly, but in this case,
-I already liked the idea,
-It already received a lot of support,
-That support is still present,

So like: instant approval.

Most will be much slower than this.

I'm already resigned to this idea being immediately (and correctly) assumed to be too frivolous and horrible and reasonless for this thread, but can I just have "Goon" as my title forever

reasons:

1. the threat of passing 1000 posts and having to live as "Mafia Scum" hangs like a sword over my head every day
2. i exhibit a lot of goonish behavior; if anyone needs someone to loom behind them and look intimidating for an upcoming negotation, i'm freelancing
3. much like the goonies i never say die -- in fact, when was the last time you remember me saying that
4. i am appealing to the mauve solidarity between us; one might consider such a role as being underacknowledged in comparison to its merit, like a goon might be
5. my second favorite role, behind VT
6. most likely will not constitute any meaningful change unless I decide to play in mafia games. however, newly secure in my goonliness, I may be motivated to do so. in fact i might even replace into a game if you need me to, wink nudge
7. such an ungainly and limp attempt at bribery as the point above is surely befitting of a goon
8. not a username pun and thus an act of counterculture
9. i am currently the only "goon-titled" member involved in site administration; securing this position would be a political windfall for a bloc serving many new members, who might be encouraged to engage more thoroughly with site workings
10. i just think it's neat
11. having a red herring for those trying to figure out the mechanics of the default titles adds to site mystique, a currency that may hold value to a website as old as ours, especially with the phpbb upgrade and our inevitable march towards modernity
