1. Please abide by all site rules.
2. Toxic and harmful behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
- flaming, insulting, or directing personal attacks at other players
- use of slurs or derogatory language
- spamming
- excessive AtE
- otherwise being a jerk/making the game unenjoyable for others
3. Play to your win condition.
4. If you wish to replace out, request replacement via PM. Do not discuss replacing out in thread or suggest that another player replace out.
5. Once you request replacement or I notify you that you are being replaced, it is final. You cease to be a player in the game and may no longer post. You may not replace back into your slot.
6. Dead bodies don't talk! Dead players may not post in the game thread or any associated PTs other than the spectator PT.
7. Do not discuss this game outside of the game thread and associated PTs, and do not discuss other ongoing games in this game.
8. Do not quote private communications into the game thread. Paraphrasing is fine. Private communications include:
- your role PM
- communications with the moderator
- posts from PTs
9. Do not engage in the use of trust tells.
10. Do not use provable randomness. Claiming to have rolled a die, for example, is fine; using dice tags is not.
11. Do not use cryptography, invisible text, or text under size 75.
12. If you have the power to edit or delete posts, refrain from using it.

14. In the past, the word "lynch" referred to the town's elimination method. Due to the racially charged history of lynchings in the USA, Mafiascum no longer allows this word to be used. Alternatives include:
- eliminate and its derivatives
- execute
- condemn
- fade
- vote off
- YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
- anything else that gets the point across
15. Pretending to break a rule will be treated as if the rule was actually broken.
16. Moderation actions will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the individual circumstances. Player alignment, of course, will not be a factor.
17. I reserve the right to alter the ruleset. If I do, I will announce it in thread.
Activity
18. At minimum, you must post in the game thread once every 48 hours. If you fail to do so, you will be prodded.
19. You must pick up your prod within 24 hours or be replaced. I am somewhat lenient about prod dodges as long as they are followed up with game-relevant content within a reasonable period of time.
20. If you accumulate 3 prods, you will be replaced.
21. If you are going to be absent for longer than 48 hours, please declare V/LA in thread or by PM. Players on V/LA will not be prodded.
22. Any player who does not post anything game-relevant for 5 days will be replaced. This rule applies regardless of V/LA status. If you foresee that this will be the case for you, please request replacement.
Deadlines
23. Day 1 has a 10-day deadline. All other days have a 7-day deadline. Nights have a 2-day deadline.
24. Deadline extensions may be granted in special circumstances. Requests for extensions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
25. The night can end early if all living players, including those without night actions, agree to it.
Voting and Execution
26. Votes and unvotes must be bolded in the format
VOTE: Player
or in vote/unvote tags (VOTE: Player). Vote/unvote tags are preferred.
27. I will not count votes that are:
- unclear
- improperly formatted
- in spoilers or obviously broken quotes
-
struck through
or purposely obfuscated in any other way
28. An execution occurs when a majority (>50%) of players agree to execute someone. If no majority is reached by the deadline, no one will be executed.
29. You may vote not to execute anyone (VOTE: No Execution). If the number of living players is even, only 50% of players must agree to secure a no-execution.
30. Once the hammer vote is cast, the day’s fate is sealed. Discussion may continue into the twilight, but no further votes or unvotes will be counted.
Night Actions
31. The mafia have multitasking.
32. If you do not submit a night action by the deadline, you will take no action.
33. Night actions will be resolved using Natural Action Resolution.
Private Topics
34. Any and all existing PTs have daytalk.
35. If you would like a notes PT, you may request one. You can state that you have a notes PT, but you may not attempt to use it to prove you are working from a town mindset (real or fabricated).
36. All PTs shared by two or more players will be released unredacted after the game ends. If you have a notes PT, it is up to you what you would like to do with it, and you will have the moderator privileges to do it yourself.
Sample Role PMs
I have provided sample role PMs for Vanilla Townie and Mafia Goon. The game is guaranteed to contain at least one Vanilla Townie, but is not guaranteed to contain any Mafia Goons.

Role PMs have been sent out. Players have 48 hours from this post to confirm their role PMs.
The game will begin in 48 hours or after 10/13 players have confirmed, whichever comes first.
Currently, 11/13 players have confirmed.

No, there's a reason why scum win rates were so high in geriatrics. Stamina and real-time interactions are real challenges for many scum players.

Not really, tbh I didn't think Brickwall's entrance was scummy. I just thought your entrance was towny and wanted to help pressure and see how Brickwall would react.
