Mechanics

Normal elimination mechanics
Everyone is paired into neighborhoods, including the mafia.
Neighborhoods are organized using Random.org, and it is possible to have a neighborhood consisting of two mafia neighbors, two town neighbors, or one of each.
Town/Neighborhoods
Each neighborhood shares a vigilante ability that can be used each night.
If one neighbor dies, that neighborhood loses the ability to shoot.
Neighbors must agree on their target, or no action will be taken. They may also agree to target no one. Neighbors may not shoot themselves or their neighbors.
Neighbors must also agree on who performs the action, if a target is chosen/agreed upon.
Mafia Faction
Each member of the mafia has a 1-shot roleblocking ability they may use on anyone, including a faction partner (but not themselves), once during the game.
Mafia do not have a standard nightkill; however, the faction may choose a nightkill target that will take effect only if all neighborhoods do not target anyone for a shot.
Each member of the mafia will be paired with a neighbor.

• You have a 1-shot roleblock that you may use once per game at night on any player other than yourself.
  
• If no neighbourhood submits a target to shoot (or no neighbourhood is able to do so), you have access to a factional nightkill. You may choose a target even if there are neighbourhoods that can shoot, but the shot will only go through if no other night kills would occur.

You win when your team controls 50% of the vote or nothing could prevent this. Reply with your alignment or post in your FACTIONAL PT to confirm.

1. Site Rules
   - Follow all site rules.
2. Mod colour
   – My mod colour is
   orange
   (#FF8000); don't use it.
3. Behaviour
   - Be respectful. This is a heated game but toxicity will not be tolerated. Attack the play not the player. If your fellow players tell you to stop, you must stop. If you do not stop, I will tell you to stop. If you still do not stop, you will be force-replaced. Asking people to stop voting you or to stop scumhunting you entirely doesn't count for this rule and you may find yourself eliminated if you try it.
4. Don't talk about ongoing games
   - You may not talk to each other about this game outside of threads I have created for this purpose. You may not talk about other ongoing games in this thread.
5. Text
   - Text should be legible (keep it 70+ please) and should not be hidden behind cryptography. Breadcrumbing is fine.
6. Provable randomness
   - is against the rules. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tags or random.org is not.
7. Confirmation
   - You have 48 hours to confirm your role and your alignment by PM. Posting in a private topic counts as confirmation. Game will begin after all players have confirmed their roles, but not before a minimum of 24 hours.
8. Days
   - Each Day phase will last 7 days. Night will be 48 hours. Extensions may be granted at my discression.
9. Activity
   - You must post at least once every 36 hours or I will Prod you. You then have 24 hours to post in the game thread or I will replace you. If you come back before I find a replacement, you can stay. The activity timers run at half-speed on weekends. Players can request me to prod somebody early. This will only count as an official prod if you don't post before you would have been due for a prod. If you haven't posted in the 24 hours before the thread is locked for night, you must reply to the night start PM or you will be replaced during the night. You will also be replaced if you are prodded 3 times total
10. Vacation/Limited Access
    - If you need to be absent for longer than this, you should declare V/LA in bold in the thread like this:
    @Mod: I will be v/la until Thursday
    . While you are V/LA, you will be nudged once every 54 hours. Two nudges equals one prod. If you have not posted game advancing content in 5 days, regardless of V/LA status, you will be replaced.
11. Prodging
    - A naked "prod dodge" does not reset the prod timer.
    
12. Replacement
    - PM me if you wish to be replaced out. Angleshooting (speculating on alignment because of replacement) is not permitted.
13. Quoting
    - You may not quote (or copy paste) any private information into the thread, including your role PM and any mod communication.
14. Notes PT
    - Let me know if you want a private thread to store your thoughts and feedback for the other players. This thread will be made public immediately after the game. You may draft posts in your notes PT but you may not talk about your notes PT in public. You definitely may not use the notes PT to demonstrate that you've had a town mindset in private all along; just put your town mindset in public to begin with and keep your notes to yourself.
15. Voting
    - Votes must be in bold in the format

    . Strong preference for using vote tags instead of bold tags. Unvotes are nice but not required. If I think it’s a vote, it’s a vote, no tricks. Type VOTE: Marashu to vote and UNVOTE: Marashu to unvote. Votes in spoiler tags will not be counted.
16. Elimination
    - Eliminations will be by majority. If there is no majority by deadline, then there is No Elimination.
17. Night
    - Nights will last 48 hours unless all living players request fast night.
18. Action submissions
    - You may submit actions via PM or PT. Actions must be received by the deadline. You can change your mind as many times as you like before the deadline.
19. Claiming Scum
    - by yourself is fine. Claiming scum with another player is against the rules.
20. Rule Changes
    - I may add or modify additional rules at my discretion. Everyone will be notified via PM if this happens.
21. Play to win
    - this particular game, not some future one, and keep it fun!

The Home Owner's Association expects its standards to be upkept at all times; foremost among them is the upkeep of the front lawn. Each lot connects to a neighbour, and each set of two neighbours share a riding mower. So far this arrangement has worked out to everyone's benefit. Recently, there have been whispers of dissenters; people who disapprove of how the community comes together to keep their homes presentable. These dissenters are even willing to go so far as to sabotage other people's yards! This won't do at all; the community must get these nay-sayers evicted at all costs!

I find genuinely no difference in claiming or not claiming them to the neighbourhood itself nor to the people outside of it. Though I want to shoot people so I want to not hang my neighbourhood guy d1

probably not, but scum could just kill all the other neighborhoods and prevent them from a kill or use their rb
huh wait how does the roleblock/kill thing even work? is it both people visiting one person and if you rb one of them it stops the kill? or is it just one out of the two?
