As we walked into Haley's house, we saw Haley and Emily standing in the living room, arguing over who had to clean under the cushions.

Haley insisted that it was Emily's turn to do it, as she did it last week. Emily retorted that she did most of the work around the house, and that Haley should do it.

After being asked to arbitrate, we decided that

Haley should take this as her one weekly chore

. Haley seemed annoyed but agreed to do it.

Haley did perk up afterwards when we gave her a gold-quality daffodil.

Cutscene - at Pierre's shop

While we were busy preparing the seeds for Pierre, Morris walked in the door! He didn't seem to be interested in shopping, though - instead, he loudly announced that he was giving away coupons for 50% off a customer's entire purchase.

All of Pierre's customers jumped at this opportunity - grabbing a coupon from Morris and walking out of Pierre's.

Pierre protested; he couldn't match those prices! He'd be selling at a loss. But no one was around to hear it - except us.

For whatever reason, Morris didn't see fit to give us a coupon.

We tried to cheer Pierre up with a free dandelion; he seemed to be in slightly better spirits afterwards.

The next time we level Foraging, we will reach level 5 and have to choose between these two options.

1) Forester: gain an extra 25% wood when chopping.

The "test the new toy" plan was pretty simple: after crop management, we head to the mines and ... well, mine. Prioritizing progression, specifically, trying to make it to floor 40 and beyond. We've also got that rock crab quest, so we'll make sure to keep an eye peeled for them.

Adding Abigail to the mix is certainly possible, although it means that either we'll need to leave the mine in time to catch her at night, or wait to catch her before going there. If we go there before, we'll probably want to give her a quartz, as we have plenty. If we go there after, we may have more options depending on what we find in the mine - and if we get the rock crabs, we'll have to leave early anyway to turn them in to Demetrius.

Crop management: success! We now have five green beans and eleven strawberries.
Mining: success!
- New checkpoint: level 35! Starting from level 30, the mine has grown a lot darker - bats and golems have started showing up, and staircases are tough to spot. Fighting the golems is a major chore and best avoided where possible.
- We got 46 copper ore, 3 geodes, 1 Omni geode, an amethyst, a few quartz, a red mushroom, and a small assortment of other items. Inventory was full by the time we got back home.
- No luck with the crab quest - we got a few crabs, but not enough to finish the quest.
Abigail: success, albeit barely. We spent hours looking for her, finally catching her late at night on her way back home. We gave her a quartz; she liked it! (I would have tried the amethyst, but didn't realize I had it until reviewing the video.)

We're really poor and should fix that. Let's go fishing. Sell our catch at the end of the day; mix in some socializing. (The Flower Dance is getting close; we could hit up Haley with another daffodil ...) The mines can wait another day ...

Eyes on the prize

We haven't hit level 40 in the mines yet and should fix that. Let's go mining. Aim for progression again and seeing if we can get any iron this time. To deal with the money issues, let's sell a few strawberries instead.

I want to be a lumberjack

We haven't hit level 5 foraging yet and should fix that. Let's chop down some trees. Also, let's donate everything we can to the community center, and start selling whatever crops we have that we don't donate. We can socialize on this path as well; we'll have plenty of time.
