My thinking is that in an ideal world we would have all Town and no scum in the nightmare, but since D1 reads are... not usually great... This way we can at least guarantee all of the Town gets in, AND we have more meaningful content to form reads going into D2.

Once we have a dedicated town core then I believe trying to only put the town core into the Nightmare would be the best choice.
But we don't have a dedicated town core yet.

And hear me out, but there's going to be something keeping us from just using the vig invention from the nightmare as a second elimination. Scum having a doctor or such, rendering it unusable in that case if scum are in the nightmare. (If perhaps semi-confirming the targeted player to be scum.)

Giving people IC sounds like a good proposal since even scum that knows about it can't fake that... unless it's ruled that in this game Normal ICs are only confirmed at game start as opposed to confirm on request as both of those variations are Normal-valid. In which case it's then useless. Let me do a look over the other bits and see what I can figure out though...

So with that in mind

Actually. Loyal Fruit Vendor might work better then IC in the long term.

Disloyal vig would be neat but unfortunately not allowed per the rules of the invention. (Vig already appears in the nightmare list)

Could also just use Inquiry as a gunsmith by asking if a certain player has the ability to kill at night through any means outside of Nightmare inventions.
Definitely better ways then that though, plus any vigs or such we have might get screwed over by that if scum gets to see that.

Though ack, having to scan both all of the Normal roles and the Nightmare Inventions to see which is the best for town is going to take a bit.

If we are able to pick the type of enabler that would be potentially good... but we might have to know the actual title of a role in order to use it on say, a cult leader type if it's a custom role. At which point... well... we'd probably have already flipped them given those would likely be unique roles.
