Rules

Voting

• Please use voting tags (VOTE: Player or VOTE: Player) or bold text (
  Vote: Player
  ) when voting. Any other format will not be counted as a vote.
  
• You may abbreviate names in votes, but it must be clear who is being voted for a vote to count.
  
• Votes within spoilers will not be counted.
  
• An elimination will occur when one player receives a simple majority of votes.

Deadlines/Activity

• Days will last 10 real life days, Nights will last 48 hours.
  
• A Day will end early upon elimination or when at least 50% of living players vote for no elimination.
  
• Nights may end early if all living players request a fast night via PM.
  
• Votes or Actions submitted after a deadline expires will not be counted.
  
• Players will be prodded after 36 hours with no activity. If a prod is not picked up within 24 hours, the slot will be open for replacement. If the inactive player posts before a replacement is found, they may remain in the game.
  
• If there is an outstanding prod at the end of a Day, the player must check in during the first 24 hours of Night, or the slot will be open for replacement.
  
• If a player would receive a fourth prod, the slot will be open for replacement even if the player returns before a replacement is found, though they may continue to post until officially replaced.
  
• If a player requires Vacation/Limited Access, please notify me in addition to setting V/LA status on your profile, and prod timers will be doubled.

Player Conduct

• All site rules must be followed.
  
• Avoid using mod colors:
  Cyan (Radical Rat)
  ,
  Violet (biancospino)
  ,
  Citrine (RH)
  , or otherwise attempting to impersonate a mod
  
• Do not attempt to obfuscate text via formatting, cryptography, or any other means.
  
• Do not use any kind of provable randomness, such as dice tags. Claiming randomness is fine, as long as it cannot be proven.
  
• Do not directly quote any private communication, including Mod PMs or any PTs you may be in. Paraphrasing is allowed.
  
• Keep posting civil. I am going to be particularly strict about toxicity. It is natural that Mafia produces heated arguments on occasion, but personal attacks or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, and if an argument reaches a point where it is detrimental to the health of the game, players may be asked to tone it down.
  
• If there are any questions or concerns, players are encouraged to PM me, or ask for a mod in-thread. Bolding will help make in-thread requests visible, and is encouraged.
  
• While not a strict requirement, try to avoid using normal spoiler tags, as these cause problems for some users. Use spoiler= instead when possible.
