Reviewer:
This... should have been reviewed. But it wasn't! It's two newd3s at the same time. Semi-open.
Setup Link:
Below.
Player Experience:
TemporalLich's Grand Idea uPick, uhh... a bunch of newbies, uhh... a couple more Grand Ideas.
Moderating Experience:
Cook's Kitchen Sink, whatever that 09:12 game was on a mod hydra, uhh... yeah. There's a few more but a lot of them don't count.
Current Modding Commitments:
I'm like 3 months clean of Mafia. Time to get back into the habit.
Hydra Policy:
I need bodies in this game, so no hydras.
Alt Policy:
Alts are fine.
Playerlist Policy:
I will give the right of rejection by primosignature. (If you signed up before someone and don't like them, PM me, I will PM them.)
Other Restrictions:
You're going to want to have played NewD3 before but I will not require it. Also, you must play this game for fun, because half of it literally does not matter to your win condition.
Deadlines:
14 day first day, 10 day other days, 3 day nights. If the playerlist drops to 9 or fewer players, the day deadline becomes 7 days.
Prod Timer:
48 hour prod timers.
Is Daytalk enabled:
Yeah you can have daytalk.
Is it possible your game has any mechanically bastard roles or mechanics?
It's two NewD3 setups, so there will be no moderator lies or misinformation. But this game is still procedurally bastard, see below.
Is it possible your game has any procedurally bastard dynamics?
I will refer to this game as procedurally bastard for the following reasons:
- It is two games of NewD3 played in parallel which can affect each other directly.
- Your win condition as a player is not contingent on the other half of the game's outcome, and as such you are able to perform actions which would be considered "gamethrowing" (such as collaborating with Town as a Mafia member) in any other game.
- Balance is explicitly not guaranteed due to player influence.
Requests for exceptions to site rules:
Technically, none.
Pre-Ins:
I will take them as per site rules.
Other:
(Is there any other information players should know about your game?) Yes, a lot.
This is an eighteen player setup. I will generate it by rolling
NewD3 twice, and assigning the roles to halves of the playerlist. One half of the playerlist will be designated the
and will feature a
Red Town
squaring up against a
Red Mafia
. The other half of the playerlist will be designated the
and will feature a
Blue Town
circling up against a
Blue Mafia
. Colors are public knowledge. Both games will be played in the same thread, at the same time.
Red Mafia's
win condition is "You win and exit the game once you reach parity with the
Red Town
."
Red Town's
win condition is "You win and exit the game if all
Red Mafia
are dead."
Blue Mafia's
win condition is "You win and exit the game once you reach parity with the
Blue Town
."
Blue Town's
win condition is "You win and exit the game if all
Blue Mafia
are dead."
The other half of the game is of no concern to your win condition. Two factions will win the game. You are free to communicate with the players in the other game, provide them advice, commentate on their play, heckle them, or otherwise bother them. Furthermore, if you have a night action, you are welcome to perform it on members of the other game. This includes nightkills.
There is a unified votecount and two eliminations per day, one for a
Blue Game
player (or to
not eliminate a Blue player
) and one for a
Red Game
player (or to
not eliminate a Red player
). You may vote on any player across both games. It will require a majority of the playercount from across
both games
to hammer someone, at which point that player will die instantly. Night does not start until both games have eliminated someone (or opted to not do so.)
