Balancing Too Many Dayvigs

I would like to run a round two of my marathon game Too Many Dayvigs.
There are two points I would like to address:
First, when the game ran, I felt like it would be more balanced if the scum team got a second nightkill after one of them was voted out in f5, so that instead of going to f4 then f3 they could skip directly to f3. The reason there has to be a nightkill restriction at all is that a 2v5 mountainous is scumsided as hell.
This is probably not very important, but which option for when they get extra nightkills do you think is best?

1. Scum get an extra nightkill shot whenever a team member gets voted out (NOT dayvigged).
2. Scum get an extra nightkill shot after 2 scum have died for whatever reason.
3. Scum get an extra nightkill shot at a fixed point (after Day 4) (this would also encourage town to pay attention to deadlines and avoid no lims)

Second thing:
Last game some players didn't get to post before they were dayvogged which is obviously not very fun. What do you think of having a 5 minutes peace timer at beginning of Day 1 before the Dayvigging power is unlocked?

For reference, the previous setup was:

3 mafia 1-shot dayvigs
10 town 1-shot dayvigs

Dayvigs can be used at any time (during the day), but are permanently disabled at ELO or when 6 dayvigs have been used, whichever occurs first.
Dayvigs are public (it is known who shot who).

Mafia has 1-shot factional nightkill

I agree. I was tempted by the fixed-point option but they can cause an awful lot of swing

Actually I just did the math and if I add another nightkill then there's no point of limiting nightkills since it will be functionally identical to not limiting them.

So I guess let's scrap the idea and just leave scum with 1 nightkill

if 6 dayvigs hit town - there are 0 mislims and it's constant Elo if scum has 2 kills, or town can earn a single mislim by axing 2 scum in a row if there's 1 kill.
if 5 dayvigs hit town and 1 hits scum - there is 1 mislim if scum has 2 kills, 2 mislims if scum has 1 kill
if 4 dayvigs hit town and 2 hit scum - there is 2 mislims if scum has 2 kills, 3 mislims if scum has 1 kill
if 3 dayvigs hit scum it's GG
