My game has been the towniest game ever. Suggesting good, safe d1 lims, defending townies like Ame.

Wants to lim someone who does not provide much content and will be hard to townread: "OMG LEEK GOES THE EASY ROUTE".

Wants to make a decision collectively and consensually, not tunneling and deciding single-handedly: "OMG LEEK WANTS TOWN TO DO THE DIRTY WORK FOR HIM".

Wants to defend a player, who's obviously towny like Ame (giving a readlist early, having a high activity, making bold plays like suggesting a massclaim): "NOW THAT'S AN OBVIOUS POCKETING"

And the crowd chanted "Leek! Leek! Leek! We want Leek's head!".

Was there any doubt? Nah, why. Maybe Leek comes from a different community, where they have a different plastyle, so maybe that'd explain his behavior? Eh, why think, thinking hurts.

Maybe someone would check Leek's newbie games on this website, to see that he always goes for the safe lim d1 as a town, and strongly defends people he does not want limmed? Eh, why read, reading bad.

I wouldn't necessarily call the postings slander, either: you're dealing with either paranoid Townies grasping in the dark or Scum that can will and should be doing all sorts of things to sow confusion and mistrust.

Even if I managed to defend myself d1 somehow, they'd be sitting on me the next day. When you have someone like Flavor tunneling on you and keeping urging others to lim you, that's really demotivating. It wasn't an invitation for discussion. It was "lim Leek and be done with it, no doubt".

Town got the ambitious lim they wanted.

Anyway, it's not the end of the world for town. And a controversial towny dying early might turn out for the better. I'd rather have this than being limmed in LiLo.
