Sadly you cannot pick same player, atleast in original. You need to pick up to 5 different players and guess their roles.

I was wrong prob.
I gived it a bit more utility (there's no mention that players must be different), but i don't think i liked that much as i expected before.

just be warned: Mathematician doesn't work in the way like he works in original. In my game his ability detects interference with his own ability (which techically just screws up with Vortox)

Not really. First gives information which already should be revealed and fuels fight among Evil Twins.

Second gives tip that Vigormortis is Demon but which will be revealed as lie very quickly sadly.

You probably noticed that "KLUTZ PICK:" is not needed message but letter eating is not my type so it was fine for me, as long as it's clear Klutz target pick.

By the way why i writed "Acknowlidged" publically? Because evil could pose as Klutz and storyteller may and probably must to react on all proposals genuinely. For example if any other player (expect the Klutz) writed "KLUTZ PICK:" i would't correct it either and simple say that i "Acknowlidged". Most often it's seen with "Slayer" role which don't exist in this game, but naturally evil players pretend as Slayer and "Slay" players. And mod expected to play along and say that nothing happens. Dying minion also would want to claim Klutz.

I cannot simple ignore message (because questions will arise like "hey mod did you see that") and that's why i acknowlidged it publically and not in private of Klutz, so everyone know that game continues.


Blood on the clocktower sounds easy on design, but there's many many MANY "little" details to remember which makes it complex (and i will be honest i am not expert at them). For example, did you know that if Good Twin for some reason turns evil, Evil Twin will receive another Good Twin to mirror? Because Evil Twin MUST mirror opposite player. Yep.

I probably should had writed longer rules with all details but... Wait why i didn't do that? Probably because these kind of details inflate rule set. Take note everyone who plan to run it again (if any brave souls sign up on this insanity again).

I wonder how game turns.

If Savant outs result then naturally everyone realise what's happening and Vander will die... Unless they will believe that Savant is evil and trying to vote Evil Twin.


Oh. Well if i am writing about it.

Vortox. Basically "Fuck you" on everyone around. But it's not really scary as it sounds, after you realised Vortox game, it's trivial to counter.
Another ability is fact that if no one executed then Evil wins. But it's rarely ever happens. Why?

Because rules won't forbid nominating and executing dead players and it counts as Execution and it's intended game design, not because i wanted though.
Reason why this ability exist at all is Oracle, Town Crier and Flowergirl. If there's no nomination and execution D1, naturally Town Crier and Flowergirl instantly realise that Vortox in the game and demon basically only has ability to kill.

But town forced to execute atleast D1 to prevent evil win. I personally think that it should be execution on living player, so Vortox turns even more bullshit dangerous but maybe i am too sadistic eh?

That's why you DON'T make Mathematician count self in original BOTC unless you prepared but you really need to choose between confusing players or have more utility in Vortox game allowing to give "plausable" zero in Vortox game.

Me? I just suck at wording, otherwise i make Mathematician work normally. I can't really change it after game.
