Cryptography rule is only listed under rules for mafia players so since this is the mod doing it it should be legal? Also shouldn't fall under undue mod influence (15d under rules for mafia moderators) since this information would be required under the setup

I guess you just have to be alert if the only NK is mafia and someone claims vig

wonder what the odds of them being vig vs mafia would be, assuming everyone’s rational players

I suppose in a simple normal game:

If only NK is town and someone claims vig and isn’t CCed, they’re telling the truth.
If two NKs, one of which is town, person who claims vig is telling the truth.
If one town NK and one maf NK person who claims to vig the maf is telling the truth

So just have to be wary of one maf NK
