Survivor meet - Texas Edition Oct 24th - 30th (Sign-ups open!)

Hi everyone! DN posted this in the discord from Survivor South Bend. But I wanted to make a more official post on MS.

DN, Flameaxe, and myself have been discussing about hosting a Survivor meet in Texas around October of 2024. All three of us want to make sure that DV gets as much support that he can get for Survivor: 'Straya.

This is more of a collective post to gather all the interest here!

DN, BBM, and I just had a good weekend solidifying information about the Texas Meet.

Texas Survivormeet will take place October 24th - 30th. With the Game taking place from the 25-28th.

We are designing the game to only hold 18 people just so that we can keep to a schedule and make sure everyone has a great time! But any is welcome to come and we will have room for more than just the 18 players.

Also, We are going to be Livestreaming the entire event and will only be streaming during the game play hours. We will have a team that will be assisting us with this.

We are working on the location at the moment, but will have that information for you but it will be in Austin, Texas.

We are taking sign ups now!

I found out yesterday that for some fucking reason the payroll department didn't withhold any federal taxes so, uh, my discretionary fund is probably not able to get me to Texas.

I've set price tracking alerts for flights. Boston to Austin is surprisingly reasonable.

Also, as someone who does this route more than a couple times a year, San Antonio or Austin are good airports to fly into as San Antonio is only about 90 minutes away. Austin does tend to be cheaper on average, but sometimes San Antonio has good routes (Spirit/Frontier operate out of SA).

We plan on letting sign ups live here for a while but will open it up to other communities after. I don't plan on inviting anyone that I can't personally vouche for but you should expect to meet new friends. At the very least, a few austin locals have expressed interest in playing and will likely be on the signup sheet.
