I think default fast nights can be taken advantage of by some people to town clear players in the game when they know said players couldn't have checked in to submit night actions.

All players (including VTs) still have to opt in to fast night each night, to prevent any possible leaks like this. That part wouldn't change.

It would be a lot of PMs, but I guess you could do it with PTs if you're really worried about that.

then mafia can just enter 13 phony fast night requests and run circles around the PRs, changing the problem instead to cheating instead of angleshooting

actually you might be thinking of Instant Night which is cool in its own right

predestination was you /confirmed with night choices for every night

if your target was invalid or you didn't have a PR your choices didn't count

a two-options solution seems like the best way to do it, i don't know why koba wants the solution to be the elimination of the 48-hour night option that's already existing. it's already here, you're going to bring instability to this site if you make these radical changes.

even aside from the fact that the less active people can often be away for more than 24h~36h, sometimes there's also some disagreement inside the scum team for what action they should take and it takes time for an agreement to be formed

48 hours are ideal for games with longer deadlines imo

i know for certain that i would feel impacted by this in a few games i was scum when i had to convince my team mates of doing a specific plan during the night

if a town PR also misses their night action, it may cause a lot of damage for the game both mechanically and on their claim credibility later

in my opinion there's no reason to risk changing the safe standard of 48 hours to 36 hours, and 24 hours isn't nearly enough because this site is catered towards longer games/lower activity people anyway

48 hours is the same amount of time as prods in most games and i think it's nice for prod timers to be correlated with night duration too
