Grand Idea Cube Draft
, a new way to enjoy the Grand Idea Mafia thread.Ever see a couple roles that you just know aren't going to make it into the same GIM setup? Want them to? Here's how:
- Submit a pack of 10 role cards from the GIM thread (either use post numbers, url tags, whatever. You don't have to have all the information right away; we'll clean things up once the deck closes.)
- When the time comes to play Grand Idea Cube Draft, you might play it in one of a few ways:
- Random style, where the mod picks three boosters, shuffles them together, and deals them out as role cards;
- uPick style, where the players each submit a booster pack, the mod vetos any booster they don't like, and then they shuffle and deal;
- Greatest style, where three (for Micro)/four (for Mini)/five (for Large)/more (as appropriate) boosters are opened, one card from each dealt to a player, and then the players select one card for role and one for alignment.
- Random style, where the mod picks three boosters, shuffles them together, and deals them out as role cards;
- Either way, when using this deck as your setup, you select boosters and then randomize from among them.
