I don’t really like this.
Here’s something you should probably write down for the future: odd numbers of players are generally preferred for town, and no eliminating (aka abstaining) puts us off that cycle of having odd numbers for dayphase unless a kill gets stopped.
Another issue that correlates with that is the fact that 3p ElLo is generally preferable to 4p MeLo, same for 5p vs. 6p. I think this is because it’s harder to get town on the same page when there’s more of them, resulting in more town losses. In cases where no obvious nightkill exists, it’s vastly better to abstain in MeLo, if only to see who the scum opt to kill. The reason this makes abstaining D1 not advisable is that if no kills are stopped, the scumteam gets an extra nightkill out of town’s apathy/indecision.

So a D1 abstain isn’t “something new”, it’s blatantly anti-town.

My favorite part that I never expected about being in a hydra is my hydra buddy can make posts like this so I can concentrate more on the shit post side of things.
