Hypoclaims

This isn't a setup that's commonly ran here and this is a core part of this setup.

Q:

What is Hypoclaiming?

A:

It's a Hypothetical Claim.

Q:

Why should I do this?

A:

If everyone does it, the cop can crumb their results including their N0 Inno. You cannot go wrong with leaving cop cover.

Q:

How do I go about this strategy as town?

A:

On D1, find someone you have a good villager read and declare them as your N1 Inno. Pretend that person is town for the rest of the game, at least until the real cop is discovered. If you change your read, then you tell wolves you're not a real cop.

Q:

How can I exploit this as mafia?

A:

Well if you know that someone's N0 is on mafia, then you certainly know that they aren't a cop! If you shoot someone who's n0 is on town, they could be a cop!

Q:

If someone dies at night who isn't a cop, what should I make of their n0 result?

A:

Their n0 result could very easily be on town but this assumes that that person was shot for their n0 result.

Guys I think we should only be hypoclaiming towards the end of D1, to reduce the chance of accidentally claiming an inno on maf (and as Alisae said in the hypoclaiming FAQ, we should probably only hypoclaim an inno on someone we're fine with not SRing for the next Day or two).
