• Thrice per chess match, you may ask the mod for computer assistance. You will receive the top 3 moves and their evaluation

You win if at least one mafia member is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same).

Notes:

• Normal voting during the day
  
• No factional nightkill
  
• If someone's challenged by multiple people/challenged by someone while challenging someone they play all their games simultaneously
  
• Mafia's computer assistance is per chess match, not per night. This means a mafioso playing multiple chess matches can use more than 3 engine moves in one night
  
• Mafia are allowed to ask for help from their teammates in their chess games in the scum PT
  
• Mafia majority does not necessarily end the game. Only endgame if every townie challenging a different mafia member and winning every night while mafia do not issue challenges and simply vote during the day would result in a mafia victory or if the game goes to nighttime with chess challenges that would force the preceding to happen regardless of the outcome of the matches
  
• May want to add a timer for the chess games if they start dragging on
  
• Mod can get the engine move from the lichess analysis board

I'd play this, but how would it run in marathon? I'd expect chess matches to not be very short, especially if scum can use chess engine.

If the chess matches start getting too long just add a timer. Alternatively if you want a timer from the start just have players play on lichess:

If you're doing the lichess method you can speed it up by having people attach the link to the lichess challenge when they're picking who to challenge

You don't need talking to play chess, just chess tags like
e4 e5 Bc4 d6 Qh5 Nf6 Qxf7#

How so? Realistically speaking we don't expect this game to go past like n3 with the amount of nightkills from everyone shooting so 15 minute days/10 minute nights would be around an hour and 15 minutes of gameplay

Probably would be 15 minutes nights, with 10 minutes time controls (unless you mean 5 minutes per player which makes engine use a lot harder).

Nothing stopping the non-challenged townies from having challenged someone during the day to play out their match at night
