To be honest I didn't actually intend to have access to bbcode but noting that I did and others were communicating via links I kinda felt obligated to

I honestly didn’t really get why this was happening. I thought the point of the restrictions was to restrict us lol I didn’t even try in this game I guess but I was honestly incredibly overwhelmed by the mechanics. I’m glad I at least tried it though.

On numbers I did try and articulate it
To me it felt like their posts were trying to show that they could communicate thoughts on the game through various means, rather than actually having thoughts on the game to communicate to begin with. Like they spent time thinking about what numbers or sequences they could use to imply words, then tried to find places to use them. Which is backwards, because a town player working to a post restriction has stuff they want to say, and needs to then find a way to say it. Essentially, numbers just felt entirely performative.

For KayJayQueue, the biggest thing was votes, because yes I did notice the votes going in the votecount from players who could not vote in thread. Obviously it's difficult to apply pressure or feel like you're doing stuff with your vote when it's hidden and you're reliant on votecounts for people to see what you are doing, but there was a serious lack of interaction combined with being willing to vote scum!numbers early in day 1, but then staying on the competing ranger wagon when it came down to the crunch in day 2. So, that early day 1 vote felt very much like a distancing vote to me with the numbers flip. To be clear, if numbers had flipped town I probably would not have made the same vig shot. I don't necessarily know what I would have done, but yeah- the main thing was that I thought KayJayQueue was the most likely numbers partner based on the voting behaviour under the specific lens of somewhat under-the-radar voting mechanics. There was also a very little bit of kill speculation- pooky getting NKed when he had a moderate wagon in the previous day probably means that it wasn't all town on his wagon.

I was actually a bit annoyed at the infrequency and sometimes inaccuracy of the VCs because I felt it hurt me that no one saw WHEN I was voting to have any context whatsoever and that sometimes my vote was just not labeled correctly. It was frustrating for me to feel more handicapped than others in this aspect but maybe I’m only seeing it from my pov.

Okay sorry I didn’t try hard enough then, damn. I also wasn’t thinking about a post restriction with the idea of being scum in mind. I hate being scum. I’m terrible at it. There was no way I was going to be successful this game when I’m not even successful when I can use every word in existence, quote and vote normally lol like I thought this was just going to be a fun game and it immediately became a source of stress. I was relieved when I died but I felt guilty I hadn’t helped my team in any way.

I don't think you did any less to communicate game stuff than for example drew did and it wasn't the effort level that made me shoot you. It was the votes

Yeah, it’s unfortunate for me that I couldn’t vote normally and that there was no real way to communicate when I voted even if you say there was a way. I couldn’t quote anyone or it broke my restriction so if the convo had moved on, it wouldn’t have made sense anyway if I had tried. But I guess I just didn’t put enough effort in.

Dannflors role was designed to be a guaranteed elimination for scum, and a giant distraction for town. It was intended to be easier than normal to win with, but there were multiple outs for both scum and town to kill Dann.

The s in 123456789’s role pm was to make it unclear to the scumteam whether multiple actions could have multiple targets, just like the joint ability of Kay to make hidden votes and numbers to redistribute them was to allow scum to make a lim of their choice happen.

The vanshed ability to self target was actually very powerful combined with gypyx, because it meant making gypyx while vanshed was active would kill a scum player.

I actually assumed the post restrictions were going to be a slightly townsiding factor in the game, while designing.

Generally speaking role power was designed to correspond to the difficulty of post restrictions. Rat, for example, had a fairly easy restriction and a fairly useless power. Jj had a difficult restriction and an immensely powerful role.

A friend of mine who doesn’t play mafia anymore was used to make determinations like Dann’s guess accuracy.

I do have to apologize for this. I keep thinking I have the free time to moderate a game well and take the time to do it right, and then life keeps proving me wrong.

But I appreciated the game even though my experience wasn’t the best. I think it was extremely well thought out and a really fun idea. Thank you to Jingle and anyone that was helping him with the game.

I literally asked if you were up for doing something with my power and got no response lol that’s the only thing I could do and I had no chance.

Klick dipping sucks because it made my power null until you got there and then you didn’t respond to me about it so I had no ability to do anything lol
