I've tried to keep my wiki up to date this time on the site. I removed all the stuff from my first stint on the site because it's so long ago and I'm a different person and player now.

I also updated my sig a little bit to clarify preferred username shortenings.
Hascow/Cow are good shortened names, never "Has" ("hasd" is
fine
)

March 24- "League Launch" Day

Over the course of IMM so far, we've reflected on different aspects of site culture and expressed gratitude for a lot of the volunteers and community members that have helped make the site what it is today. Today though, it is time for a new experience for the site. We'll be unveiling a new game/activity. Despite the slowdown of our Eurovision-inspired Song Contests in GD, we've seen a growing interest in music-themed Mish Mash games lately. The walrus games are bigger than ever, we've had a recent revival of song game on the discord, and there's even been whisperings of a new take on MS Idol to come after Team Mafia.

The new event is called Music League. It will be facilitated through musicleague.com, administrated by the Mish Mash List Mods, and tracked in a dedicated thread here. This debut league will last six rounds. (Following that, the plan is to evaluate the settings and start up a new one!) The song submissions for Round 1 will be due on 1 April at 8 AM UTC+0, but you'll be able to start brainstorming for the rest of the rounds right away.

Also, as far as an in-thread discussion topic, feel free to tell us about a band or artist that has some significance to you.

Though I understand all of the reasons to not support her, I can never deny the life-changing effect Taylor Swift had on me and in particular my wife. During my wife's darkest days, she was one of five artists to help save my wife's life, and one of the five us listening to together caused us to fall in love. We used her songs to bond and later flirt with each other.

Similarly so for Nickelback. They were another of the five.

A third was annapantsu covers. annapantsu songs were the first time I heard my wife sing, and I heard how beautifully they can belt out lyrics.

People hold artists and celebrities to unreasonable standards, picturing them as either flawless geniuses or vilifying them. They’re just people. Taylor Swift has done good things and bad things but she hasn’t done anything to deserve the amount of hate she sometimes gets or the reverent worship she also gets. I really like most of her songs personally but I wouldn’t lay down in mud so that she didn’t have to dirty her shoes. Nickelback is in a very similar vein. One day it just became popular to hate them but I can probably name more Nickelback songs that I like than almost any other rock band.

For me, artists that hold some significance in my life would probably be Eminem, the Outkast, and Hunter Hayes.

After my parents got divorced in 2004 I listened to a lot of Outkast, especially The Love Below / Speakerboxxx. Eminem became a mainstay throughout highschool as being an artists that I listened to regularly. I can’t describe exactly what caused me to gravitate to these artists or why their music helped me during this period of time, it just did.

Hunter Hayes I can pinpoint a little bit better. My wife and I had 4 different “Our Songs” All 4 were country, and 2 of them, including our most prominent “our song”, were Hunter Hayes’ “Wanted” and “Crazy”

My wife sang “Wanted” to me at our wedding, and I sang it to her at her funeral.

March 25 - "Open Up About Opens" Day

It is sometimes said (for example, by me, right now) that Opens are like the Chess of Mafia: All the pieces are on the board and everyone knows how they work. There are no surprises or twists, just a pure contest of skills, move against countermove. So let's give it some love!

What have been some of your favorite Open games to play, moderate, or even just read? Are there any setups you particularly enjoy?

NewD3 - my first ever game on this site was NewD3 and it's also unironically one of my best town performances on the site and it's a great setup.

Minefield - absolutely beautiful, would play again

Dance games - for some reason these are normally set up as theme games but they're actually open setups and very fun!

My favorite Opens are the ones that are basically everyone’s vanilla but with a twist. Such as lovers, escape, mountainous, dance party, fortnight, etc.

Not only does everyone know the pieces but everyone has the same pieces so it’s entirely skill based.

Basically every multiball setup (a la the Jungle ones in particular), as well as the semi-open ones where it's a different setup each time but with a finite number of possibilities, a la the likes of C9++.
