Majiffy, go straight to Delhi. Do not pass Go, do not collect €200.
"i have the sickest grossest feeling that even if it's my lynch today, my townflip still won't lead to a tso lynch, and then he'll find some bullshit way to reason either shooting or lynching gm tomorrow because if there's anyone who can strongarm a mislynch despite his reads or cases being proved wrong time and again it's tso"
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
I think it's telling an inmate not to get put on deathrow.

I think another thing about being an enjoyable player is understanding conflict deescalation. There are definitely players that I wouldn't be able to play with anymore if it weren't for that on both sides (hi kuribo and mastin!)

You want to play with players you love until they're the opposite alignment.
And then this^
And then the same alignment and you can't get past this^
I really respect then main site crowd, who meet up, and don't care about previous lying and bullshit and emotional tracts and wins and losses.
I just don't know how to deal with it yet, but I have no problem with anyone here. And love/respect you all.
My understanding is limited :)

This is what we did, and it happened.
I know it can be very difficult at times, but it's almost always better to log off and take a break when something is starting to anger you. And if it gets real bad, exercise some faith in the authority of the forum staff/list mods, and see if they'll deal with it. Personally, I started posting more at this site than the political site I came from because the constant partisan contention was worse than the contention I see here. Also, being in my mid-twenties, I'm aware that there's going to be young and immature players here, so it's better to just avoid them if they're behaving badly. What I like in Mafia are people with good attitudes and personality, and a willingness to be civil and respectful. There have been times as Town where I enjoyed playing with the enemy Scum more than fellow Townies.
In Mafia players are going to contradict one another and argue, but so long as it's done with enough respect and civility, it makes a real difference.
Letting your personality shine though in these games can leave a distinct impression, and is on average a benefit for Mafia as a whole.
This.
I know I read games and note the people that look fun to play with and those that look less so to decide which games I join. I am doing that more than playing ATM due to time constraints, if I'm honest.
