A couple things for this setup

One, I don't think it was ever played before. (correct me if im wrong) So we're in uncharted territory
Two, mafia will try to mess with cop results with their factional bus. Will most likely happen they think cop will check one of them. This means reduced cop effectiveness, that said, town should still aim to maximize cop's effectiveness
Three, town BD *should* try to protect the most pro-town voice

In other words, best scum strategy is to swap one of them with a townie each night (the same one) to guarantee the Cop will always get a clear on that person. That coupled with holstering each night to avoid shooting themselves if they are swapped with their target by the Town BD.

Conclusion let's play the game as a mountainous!

If a setup proves to be breakable it'd be revoked from the list. In other words, all open setups available are unbreakable (or at least have not been proven to be yet). I suspect what you mean is "find a best strategy to maximize our chances to win" which is subject to everyone's PoV and playstyle. In some forums it is customary to massclaim on D1, as they believe THAT is the "best strategy" to play the game (from Town PoV). I happen to disagree. Would you vote me based on that disagreement? Would you vote someone who suggested a massclaim here because they're used to it there?

It thus follows Scum are much more likely to tryhard at the start of the game to (a) Appear Town, and (b) Try to direct the game. They already know where they want it to head, while Town are the one just "getting a feel for everything" (as you put it)

In that game, not only did I correctly identify the Mafia Roleblocker (and made a case on them) towards the end of D1, but I ALSO PM'd the mod with the

guess of who the Doctor was. I simply kept the Doctor in my PoE to protect her (and me revoking the SR on D2 resulted in her getting NK'd on N2).

In that game you can ALSO see that was most careless and posted fluff for almost half of D1. I only turned serious when I had a bit of a grasp of the situation, and could make some sense of everyone's play (I was wrong on the Scum Goon guess, but hey, I corrected it on D3).

If you want to meta-dive me more, go ahead. If not, then just accept the fact that I have a different playstyle, different approach to the game, and that I can actually READ.

Should go without saying, but you're still in "Try to swap scum with the nightkill mode." You can self target, should not preclaim your targets, and shouldn't worry about the cop at all.

It's not as simple. Like, if I was scum and wanted you dead I'd swap you with -say- shelly and then shoot shelly's slot (presumably now occupied by you). MWNN will attempt to switch you with me but in reality would be reassigning shelly my slot and me to her "new" one which is originally yours. In short, you'll still die.

What he ought to do is try to outguess scum not ONLY about their Nk but ALSO bout whom they'd be switching it with, which is why I said to play the game as mountainous from the start.

It means nothing. Theoretically, Johnny could be anything, but they wanted Bingle dead and thus made sure he wasn't being protected by the Town BD.

That said, if I was scum I'd be switching Bingle with my buddy because he's the top TR and thus is very unlikely to be checked by the Cop, but is likely to be switched by the Town BD with someone new so the Cop still gets a guilty on that "someone new" if they check there. (Like, you and Bingle agreed to switch a suspect with a TR, so it makes sense you'd switch these two, only they beat you to ot and moved Bingle out of your reach and you put "whoever was switched with Bingle" in Johnny's place, so if the Cop targeted Johnny they got Bingle's alignment and if they somehow checked Bingle they got the "unknown's alignment".

And since you know me well, I'd say I would have switched you and Bingle if I was scum, so that even if you did the exact same thing I'd end up shooting you, but then they probably didn't because you agreed to switch a SR with a TR.
