Well, MatthewV... I've only played in one other minigame (another of Jeep's) and I can't even remember how many mafia we were dealing with, because the game ending got lost in the board crash. We also had to worry about a serial killer in that game. But it seems to me that anybody trying to work out the numbers is likely pro-town, yes?

With nothing insightful nor witty to add to the conversation, I'll do what Werebear did and randomly poke a quiet one. His got an interesting reaction.

Unvote: Beaudoin

Because that's all the vote was for, really, a response. Both of the current bandwagons make sense, but I hesitate to take either player up to four votes at this point. I'll withhold a vote for now, but I'm leaning towards voting for Jadesmar if he doesn't show up soon and say something.

Just popping in to say I checked, and jadesmar hasn't posted in any game here for a week, now. Cuban smoker's also absent, but he told us he'd be away for a week. So I've no idea what to do, it seems only sporting to wait a bit on those two. Meanwhile, I'll be keeping up on the discussion and post again with a vote tonight or tomorrow.

But unlike mathcam, I'm doing so for a very good reason... because I said I would.

Of course, you are all still bloodthirsty monkeys. Let's shape up, eh?

All right, Coach smoker... lead on! With possibly two cop-types down, looks like we need help.
And I do feel somewhat bad about Medicated Lain. It could have been prevented (I think), if she'd have simply come back and explained her newbie-ness. But yikes, Night Stalker, how was anybody supposed to know any of the information you supplied, afterwards? :? Anyway, is it too late to offer a collective town apology?

In reading over the entire game (again), I notice mathcam brought up the possibility of a no-lynch on day 1, then seemed to press for a lynch of anyone. Now he's suggesting that the cop come out... None of these are really suspicious on their own, but all together, it's interesting enough to get my vote.
Vote: mathcam

Regarding the discussion of the mafia investigating, that just seems unfair. I believe Quercitron's claim of "regular" townie. And if cuban smoker's telling the truth, that would be at least 3 (including Medicated Lain). I'd think that having such powerful Mafia in the game might have to be balanced by eliminating any or most regular town roles, giving us a fair chance, instead of watching the Mafia find and kill all of our important roles. That they seem to be doing so is likely only bad luck.

Looks like I'm getting a couple votes simply because cs has me on his guilty list. I usually find his logic to be pretty sound, and I appreciate his posts (even though he seems to indulge in cockiness and name-calling). :P
With that said, I'm willing to follow his lead and vote along with him for Nyarthotep, even though it would be safer for me to leave mathcam there in the lead with the deadline approaching. But Nyarthotep's responses, when voted for by cs, changed my mind about him. The only problem with this, personally speaking, is what happens next? If Nyarthotep gets the votes and turns out guilty after being lynched, that means I'm likely next, because cs was right and therefore his list will be taken seriously. If he's proven innocent, then I might still be next, because I voted for him. If that happens, maybe we can all instead agree to focus more on cs, who might be taking control and deliberately misleading us.

This is scary for me, being on "the list", but at this point I am willing to trust cuban smoker's instincts again. If he's going after Lystrodom/mikegoo, I'm with him, simply because he was right about Nyarlathotep, and I'm not suspicious enough of anybody else right now to vote them.

Silence/lurking at this point in the game does seem suspicious. Or, at least, more suspicious now than anybody else. I am willing to change my vote to Beaudoin, but will give him another day to say something. Meanwhile...

I'll cast the final vote. But here are some thoughts:
If Beaudoin is the bad guy we suspect him to be, wasn't Werebear more than a bit hesitant to lynch? But then, if Beaudoin is innocent... maybe we should have a closer look at those out for his blood (yes, I realize that includes me). I'm looking closer at MatthewV and mikegoo, based on their posts this game day.
Vote: Beaudoin

Mathcam and CS are the only other players in this game whose innocence i'm quite sure about - mathcam based on his pro-town posts, and CS because he was targeted/protected at night, while by day he's been nailing Mafia. Everyone else has convinced me of their innocence at various points in the game, but if you were all innocent, this game would be over. Werebear's looking least innocent to me today, so once again I am following CS's lead.

unvote:Werebear
because i'm convinced.
MatthewV - yes, it's true that I've been mainly following cs's lead, a fact which I've readily admitted more than once. As to my lack of adding "new evidence"... well, nobody has done that this game day except for Werebear, really. Everything else is mainly opinion, gut feelings, reactions, etc. And at this point, my opinion is that you and mikegoo seem to be defending each other quite a bit.

I've no reason to doubt mathcam's role-claim, I believe both him and Werebear. But I'm losing a bit of my trust in cs. He wasn't even targeted on Night 3, yet he made sure we all thought he was... why, why? But I still can't bring myself to vote for him, so I'll vote for one of the other two.
Vote: mikegoo

Werebear - to continue your bit:

Just a bit more speculation on mathcam: I was following another mini (19 I believe) in which the cop was "drug addicted", meaning that he could choose to use drugs at night to get a double investigation. The down side was that he'd look guilty to anybody investigating him. Maybe mathcam had a choice to use drugs to enhance his ability, knowing that there could be a penalty? Death, however, seems extreme...

Werebear: mathcam may not have shared any "drug addiction" information with us if he'd hoped to get in an extra protection (or something similar) last night, in hopes of messing up the Mafia's plans. But of course, that's just a guess, I'm likely way off.

mikegoo: How does going with another lynch-free day make us lose? What am I missing...

and cs: where are you?

Yikes, I'm right here, just got home from work.
What do I think? I can't believe Werebear's mafia. His claim, though unusual, was completely believable, and his revelations of who he'd protected sealed it, for me. So of course that leaves only mikegoo, somebody I've been suspicious of now for days. Either I'm easily fooled, or my bad feelings about mikegoo were right.

***Sugar walks alone through the cemetery, happily decorating the graves with daisies, pausing to pay extra respect to Nyar and Beaudoin's resting places (which she dug herself). After trying vainly to supress giggles, she finally lets it out.

Thanks everyone, I had lots of fun. At the point where it was 6 town against 1 scum, I figured it was over. Then when Werebear came out as a 2nd doc, I lost any hope that I was clinging to! It was renewed slightly, however, with mathcam's surprising death.
Werebear: I went after you for the lynch on the off-chance that you were some sort of evil doc that would be unkillable at night. I didn't want to miss my chance, I was never fully convinced of your townie-ness...
cuban smoker: Your list was amazing, It really scared me.
mathcam: sorry about betraying you... 3 protects? Thanks!
Jeep: thanks for a great game.
And one more salute to my partners in crime, Nyar and Beaudoin!
