I started with the deputy flip. In replacing in I find it's easiest to stay current and sift through older things at my own pace. It helps in that I don't feel rushed to read the entire thread before contributing.

Jake has all but confirmed himself as scum of some flavor with his posts today. He has a serious hard-on for the SK, virtually all his thinking seems to center around that role, and even some from yesterday. This is a

reliable scumtell in my book. Either he's group scum who spent all night SK-hunting or he's the SK himself.

If I think he's scum, yet he's cleared by the cop, from my point of view he is town or GF. I'd actually say its probably 90% chance he's GF given his obviously scummy play but to be nice I lowered it to 50%

Needless to say, both are shit reasons. The prior because it assigns a probability to something that isn't a random value. If we lynch AP he'll either flip GF 100% because he received that role PM, or he won't because he didn't. A probability would be something like, "There are likely 3 scum out of 9 alive players, so if we lynch a random player there's a 33% chance he'll flip scum."

The latter because while he clarifies that the percentage is simply a representation of his opinion, there is no town motivation for being lenient on a player who you are 90% certain is scum.

Yesterday, I believed that I was not likely to have the opportunity to hammer zipper for long and that I was the next likely lynch target. Given the fact that I know I'm town and that I thought there was a good chance that zipper was scum, I hammered zipper. I was less confident of zipper being scum than I was of Dave being scum, but the situation was quite different.

I was quite aware of the possibility that zipper would flip town would lead to my quick mislynch today and thus a town loss.

Town aren't largely motivated by survival. Qwints clearly is. Any suspicious-looking townie can realize when it's best to throw in the towel and help in a last ditch effort by providing as much information as they can. Opportunistically hammering is never the right move, as it can quickly lead to the bolded scenario if one is wrong.

Given that zipper was a goon, I'd say it's a strong possibility qwints is scum PR.

p.edit: I'm not sure NL isn't a bad idea. It would still be 3 to lynch and we'd have one less person to weed through. If we choose wrong today, it's over. Having town reads with a pool of 4 other players is stronger than having town reads in a pool of 5 other players. Thor: why would lynching today with town reads be better than NL today?

Well, everyone posted while KJ was at L-1. KJ's now confirmed scum. There is no other explanation for him not being lynched when I know I'm town and he was L-1. If he was town, the 2 scum in the game would have been on the wagon with me and ended the game. Thor or cyber is his scum buddy. Keeping my vote where it is and going out for holiday cheer. Let me know when you reach the same conclusion Jake. Come tomorrow, whoever is left and is town will have to decide if KJ's scum buddy bussed or if it was all 3 town that lynched him.

I feel that if there were the case he would've been looking for players to give him targets prior to his claim (ie: if there's a vig we should decide who should die N2), or claimed voluntarily instead of being run up to L-1 before asking for targets.

And he very quickly redacts his feelings about that anyway.

Actually, scratch that thor picking who I shoot. If thor is off and picks a townie, scum could just not kill, make me look like a liar and then I'd get speed lynched day 3. That would be 3 town kills all because I'm too pussy to choose one myself. Eff that noise. I'll take suggestions, but won't say who I decide on. Less information for them the better.

My issue with quints/kthx is that I didn't believe that kthx was what he claimed to be.

The fact that kthx shot at qwints and it was RB'd, seems more likely to me now because kthx is giving me a town vibe. So yes POE, qwints is prob-scum.

Feelings of town for Kthx due to his claim and his recent posts at the time. This is after supposed shots had been fired and RB'd. I feel that, if anything, a lack of bodycount coming from a Vig would make one less likely to believe the Vig claim. I feel like this opportunistic behavior, bussing Kthx soon after the

Kthx's apathetic attitude is terrible, and one I would never expect to come from town. Yes, to an extent it's disheartening to realize you're going to be lynched, but self-voting? I can honestly say I've never considered self-voting as town. Ever. Least of all in LyLo. There are often many different ways to attacking the same problem. Much like how I didn't give up when Jake/Thor failed to see how Kthx was scummy, it's not too farfetched to see that a town player wouldn't give up so easily when their first attempts don't stick.

For instance, a town-Kthx might naturally think of the following, "What did KJ say earlier, that he'd equally lynch myself or Cyber? Well since I'm confident that the scumteam is KJ/Cyber that's a theoretical 2 votes. Maybe I can concede for a Cyber lynch today, bait KJ into bussing his scumbuddy, and fight again to have KJ lynched tomorrow."

But this thinking doesn't come naturally to him. His crummy AtE's have failed to lynch me so the game is over in his eyes.

Well just going from the confirmed town PRs, Cop/Backup/1x Commuter the Godfather/RB/Goon combo doesn't seem to fit in. Like it's not even fair, even if you do buy into the whole 1x Vig claim.

To illustrate, let's use the examples Jake showed us earlier.

Godfather/RB vs Doc/JOAT. May be the most scum-sided setup of the bunch, but even so this Godfather/RB duo is also a 2 man scumteam.

Looking at our game, at any one point in time there's only one cop doing his thing. Given that a Commuter can't be RB'd and the "Vig" only has "1 shot", that's essentially 2 scum PR to counter the 1 investigation town had each night.

My issue with quints/kthx is that I didn't believe that kthx was what he claimed to be.

The fact that kthx shot at qwints and it was RB'd, seems more likely to me now because kthx is giving me a town vibe. So yes POE, qwints is prob-scum.

Feelings of town for Kthx due to his claim and his recent posts at the time. This is after supposed shots had been fired and RB'd. I feel that, if anything, a lack of bodycount coming from a Vig would make one less likely to believe the Vig claim. I feel like this opportunistic behavior, bussing Kthx soon after the

100% town-driven wagon

and then later coming to a town read on him when a qwints lynch was viable, is indicative of a scum pairing.

I did not pick those games for fun. Those were the games Jake used earlier to show examples of a GF and RB in the same game. You're both more than welcome to search for games where scum had Godfather/RB/Goon against the town's 1 investigation per night, a 1-shot role that can be roleblocked, and a 1-shot role that cannot be roleblocked.

Once I saw the kthx/cyber connection I knew I was right. Not being killed threw me.

For the record, if I were scum I would never target a claimed Commuter over a claimed VT. I just didn't want to bring it up mid-game and sound like scum for it! So while you'd have to ask Kthx why he made the choice that he did, I do believe it was the right one.
