Btw, someone said something about a sitewide rule about declaring oneself Scum and outing their partner(s), this is true, after New York 185.

In that game, near the end, one of the Scums cracked under pressure from Town, outed herself, and named her Scumbuddy as well. She ate a ban for it.

Anen was in that game, and I think RC too. I was observing. It's the only time I ever saw Scum request postgame that the Scum PT remain hidden. It was finally released after very very heavy editing.

I'm pretty sure that if Lhix were Scum he would have been insta-banned for it. At any rate, my predecessor's being snarky is hardly a Scum tell. I'd probably ask a similar question myself, that gambit is an idiot thing for Scum to do, and it's an idiot thing for Town to do. Anyone voting my slot based on that gambit/reply is playing like a lazy noob.

Incorrect. If I was wrong, fire would have admitted he made a mistake or misread the mods post. He didn't do that, instead he argued that I'm somehow wrong when there is no way he read any public mod post about the situation and got confused as to who kling replaced.

Ok just looked up the definition of active lurking. I'll say that yes I'm guilty of that. That is mainly cause for me to play differently then I normally play, I have to basically not do anything. Once I make my mind up on scum, the wheels fall off and people get annoyed at my tunneling. So yea, I'm active lurking on purpose. Though the longer this day phase goes on, the harder it is to ignore all the shit being posted. This day needs to end, people should really just sheep me if they know what's good for them. sharing

an article on Facebook – the article was about a government-aligned mayor, who had bought an estate for half (or third?) a price of its value, from another government-aligned person. The article asked whether there might have happened a kind of corruption.
(I don't know whether there's a word for that in English. It's not prosecuting. It's a process when someone's a suspected of commiting a crime and the police take photos and fingerprints of them, etc.)

If they're fingerprinted, it's called "arrested". The cops have 24 hours after arresting to charge them with a crime. Once charged they can post bail or sit in jail until arraignment, which takes about a month. The arraignment is where the prosecutor presents the formal charges and a judge decides whether it should go to trial or they should be set free.

Since I already thought keyser and lhix are scum together (as do others) what I think happened is the mod made a post in the mafia private topic that kling was now added to the private topic. Fire being confused who he replaced probably came to the game thread looking and didn't find an answer made the statement in the thread.

He tried to cover his tracks by pointing to a post in the replacement que that isn't there. The only people who claim to have seen this post is fire and kling. Originally RC was on their side but later publicly announced that he wasn't anymore.

So I still firmly believe that A. the mod did make a post, but it was in the mafia private topic and B. the scum team is Kling/Fire/Suzun

For that to happen I'd have to have access to the Scum PT. I do not.

Would scum benefit from claiming day-vig? On the one hand they can distract any protective roles so they can increase the chance that the night kill succeeds. But the chance of a protective role choosing the same target on night 1 when no one has claimed is slim. Whereas the chance of someone claiming day-vig being investigated is quite high, so it's a high risk strategy with a low chance of reward.

And then at the beginning of the day Zulfy immediately admitted that he is a hider. So any investigative role that got a result on him the night before would know if he was lying.

Why would scum do this?

The only investigatives that would get a result would be Role Cop, Watcher, or Tracker. And they'd have to target him. (Well, the Watcher would have to target you.)

Investigatives are generally supposed to keep their results quiet until they have 2 guilties, until they're at L-1, or until they're CC'd. (The problem with this is that the investigators are often NK'd before they can spill the beans.)

So even if someone found him not doing what he said, odds are Town won't find out, and if they do he can lie and say it was some sort of gambit.

Hello, Yimmy has asked me to come and speak about decision made during this game. At the time of TheLhix's banning, I was in discussion with Yimmy about whether to call the game off. He wanted to reroll, but as this is a closed setup that was unfeasible, so the two options he had were to abandon the game completely (and send me a new setup for review and be bumped to the head of the mini normal queue) or to continue. Yimmy's decision was to wait it out and see how the game progressed, although I gave him the go-ahead to call the game if he judged it to be too compromised.

Yimmy had a hard choice to make, and there would have been people complaining no matter what he chose.

I think the rules need revisiting.

This is a closed setup, so the players aren't supposed to know anyone's roles outside their own.

So why not change out the roles? Have a 1-shot Watcher, a 1-shot Tracker, and a commuter, or something like that.

Re-roll the roles.
