*shrug* I left that open to voters' interpretation of their own votes.
Your own vote sounded serious - you implied it would contribute to a quick D1 lynch.
It was serious like a game of chicken is serious.-

I insert images = I am desperate Scum. How does that even compute in your head tho? Also, mountains is totes right - it's Preview (default iPaint, basically) so go shove your Microsoft shite where the sun don't shine, sir or madame.

Yo, mountains. This is what makes me think votes are serious.

The wagon theory of mafia: scum are easier to catch near wagons because their vote means something.-

You have 5/7 votes on you.
Mafia is now either eager to lynch you or not lynch you.
So they are willing to sacrifice looking townie to accomplish these tasks.-

Not necessarily, at all, in any way? This is a Mini, meaning 2-4 Scum. Meaning 9-11 Town. Meaning this wagon (of 5 players) could easily be 100% TvT and Scum could just sit back and watch it happen. They don't have to want to lynch me and they don't have to not want to lynch me. It's page 2, page 3. They could easily ignore this wagon and nobody would notice, or care. So you're just wrong?!?
Not sure if you legit believe you're right or if you're pullin' stuff out your bum for fun.
If you are town, scum would want you to get lynched. They probably wouldn't vote you themselves because it would make them look bad. But they might subtly push your lynch or do nothing to prevent it.
My point is it charges the thread with a more alignment indicative atmosphere.-

Maestro, has scum voted you yet?
Kush, SE question. Do you think scum are already on Maestro or are waiting to see who makes the next move? I think your mentioning of the theory obscures any further info from this wagon tbh.
Masq, when are you planning on looking at this wagon? Today when it disbands or after we have a flip?
Double ninja, Oh my god!
well blame maestro for making me talk about it.
As for if scum were on the wagon.. dunno. But, for instance, if someone had joined the wagon seriously to put it at 6/7 then that might have been suspicious.-

He's not doing anything to progress the game and instead he's just trying to alienate as many people as he can.

why is Wisdom scum or bad for refusing to vote "obvious scum" when there are like 11 other other people also not voting for "obvious scum"?
He's not scum for not voting kill, he's scum because he's not playing like a townie. He's avoiding answering questions from at least 2 people, he provides little to no actual substance, when asked to explain himself he does in as few words as possible, if he actually does it at all, he's not doing anything to progress the game and he's not even attempting to convince others to follow him.

lol nvm. I just filtered Wisdom. I have some concerns.
There's a lot of white knighting of Maestro. I white knight sometimes but when I white knight I try to figure out why someone is scumreading and explain why I'm townreading.
Wisdom is just calling people wrong and bad for scumreading Maestro.
I think how he jumped on Masq was a little easy.
Right now I'm not sure why he's scumreading Jake.
pedit: Hi Kill.
I don't know how I feel about the leading wagons, kill and maestro, right now. My thoughts without filtering:
KILL -hard to read but some good thoughts there. I liked how he just called Jake out on calling Wisdom out on making little posts.
MAESTRO -felt town just from early game. Not sure why people are voting him.-

He really hasn't. Just saying so and so is scum without providing reading isn't scum hunting, at least not my definition of it and that's basically what he's done all game. He has still refused to explain why any of his scum reads are what they are with reasons that actually are scummy.
P.edit - I'm not scum reading him for shot posts. Why are you misrepping me? I explained all of the reasons why I'm scum reading him and "he makes short posts" isn't one of them.
What I said is when asked to explain himself he does so in very few words,if he actually does it at all
The bolded is the more egregious behavior. I've counted at least 4 times where he has refused to explain himself/answer questions. Scum tend to talk very little also so yes him being brief and providing no actual scummy reasoning for his reads is a very good reason to be scum reading him
I didn't mean to misrep you. I just simplified your statement.
I think scum might post less often, but I don't think words per post is not a scumtell.
Not answering questions is a scumtell? In the right context it can be. This isn't the right context.-

Maestro, an overreaction to kills obnoxiousness.
That scumslip though lol.
It's a bad reason to townread maestro but his not wanting to play looks honest and townie.
Bear with my phone posting formatting.
From Jake
What I said is when asked to explain himself he does so in very few words, if he actually does it at all
The bolded is the more egregious behavior.
Reading this again, it feels so fake.
Lots of people won't answer questions about their reads. Not responding to questions is what makes him scum?
I don't buy that.
So as much as I like my policy voting, I'll vote game.
Maybe at some point I'll filter him properly and townread him again so I can go back to my beloved plynch.
VOTE: jake from state farm
Do you actually work at state farm?
My name irl is jake and people are always saying jake from state farm haha...it's kind of annoying but they are funny commercials.-

Explain to me why anybody would be in the mindset of "emulating" a behavior for a Town game. You don't emulated anything in order to tell the truth.
But playing town is more than just telling the truth. You need an approach for how you are going to find scum.
Are you just curious or are you trying to figure out if it's a scumslip or not? Because I don't see how your question accomplishes that.
If your just curious though, that's cool.-

I'm sorry you feel it's fake, I assure you regardless of alignment nothing I accuse people of is fake. As scum the best way to play convincingly is to accuse people of the same things you would if you were town. That's why despite hating playing as scum, my scum game is on point.
But guess what? I'm not scum reading him because he's not answering my questions. I've given other reasons also yet for some reason you chose to ignore those and focus on just one of the lesser reasons. That's weird.
Also, people shouldn't refuse to answer questions about their reads, all players in general but most definitely not town. Town should try to be as transparent as possible. Scum have motivation to do less talking cause the more they do, the more likely they can screw up. If a player refuses to explain their reads, especially scum reads that's a huge red flag imo.
No my name isn't really Jake, no I don't really work for State Farm.
that's the only reason I found.
@aristo It's not a gut read. I know Jake has been around the block a few times, and he's scumreading someone for something that is player style and NAI.-

Here is the post with the supposed awesome reasons for scumreading Wisdom.
"avoiding answering questions" - yeah this is the fake reason
"provides little to no actual substance" - again, I think this is stylistic not alignment indicative
"when asked to explain himself he does in as few words as possible" - But don't scum have the tendency to over defend usually?
"he's not doing anything to progress the game and he's not even attempting to convince others to follow him" - So everyone who's not a town leader is scum? I'd say most people in this game fall into that category.
So I have read all your reasons now, and I think they are all scummy.-

Maestro started the game all active and happy, then came back mean and depressed. Kind of like his puppy died in between.
Then he hammers KtS, which is a behavior that fits his psychology. So no he does not get a scumread.
pedit:
Isn't the too scummy to be scum kind of along the same lines as too townie to be town?
no. because town is trying to looktown, but scum isn't trying to look scum.
Too scummy to be scum is a fallacy. The fact is that this hammer was easily excusable because of the general dislike on KTS's attitude.
I think scum likes to have a real reason to vote someone, other than "i dont like this person."
And it's not a fallacy. You just have to be careful to consider a player's personality when you use it.-

Wisdom, some patterns are easy to avoid. Some aren't. For instance, my activity falls heavily as scum. That is a pattern I can't avoid, because I can't bring myself to care about the game if I already know the solution.
You have to ask yourself, what kind of scum player would Maestro be? VI-type players defy the too scummy to be scum aphorism, but players like Maestro usually do not.
His mental state upon returning to the thread before EoD after a hiatus from activity was dark. I think something happened in his real life, or maybe he was bored with forum mafia. Possibly something happened in a different game. IF you look at his hammer from a perspective of accepting his changed mental state, it makes sense.
