Whoa, this game is way more hostile than the ones I've played on here so far. I hate playing catch-up but I didn't realize the game had started already, so I'm doing a brief runthrough.

redFF & noraa's back and forth on pages one and two and three seem rather town-on-town. I think red's joking intent seems genuine, and I think noraaa trying to latch onto it is an earnest attempt to try and decipher something, albeit misplaced.

crypto's postings make me think he's taking the game as a joke instead of actually trying to play, like when he claims he's a cop with an innocent on Vifam.

My head! It hurts! I can't keep track of who is replying to who in this redFF/Vifam/noraaa/crypto mess, but I don't feel like any of it is particularly scummy or worthy of a vote.

mb53's "Are you fucking kidding me?" post kind of fits my sentiments regarding Pine's posts so far in the game.

@Matias: What about redFF's posting style makes him scummy? He just seems to be dicking around, having a laugh, but not really taking it seriously yet. I get the same vibe from crypto's posts, and neither seem incredibly scummy.

I agree with BBmolla: Pine is probably scum. The way he just stirred shit up then left under the slightest pressure doesn't sit well with me at all.

Pine only has three posts in the game so far: one that asks for a policy vote on crypto, one that mistakenly (and exaggeratedly) calls crypto's post an "ad hom attack" when it wasn't, and one that simply asks if Blonde Doctor is an alt. He's just skirting by in the shadows, not saying much of anything, hoping nobody will notice.

for my part: i had a conversation about this with one of my friends tonight: he's an EMT and he drove 50 miles somewhere to go help someone, and then when he got back, he had just finished settling down and getting comfy again when he got a call to go back to within a few miles of that 50 miles away on another call. thats 200 miles driving back and forth on the same road in the same night, when you'd rather be sleeping. so yes, i have some sympathy for it when it already happens (its happened to me too, even with the techniques i described before) so i'd say the best thing to do is type up your response in notepad or textpad or whatever text editor you prefer, and then save it periodically so that even if there's a power outage you'll still have most of what you wrote and you won't have to give us lame-ass excuses.

tl;dr

I suppose I'll have to explain why a post might fail and then why I might continue complaining about it two minutes after it occurs. I'll use short straightforward sentences that — woah — make sense.

I have an iPad. When Safari crashes, the app simply closes and I return to my home screen. When I reopen Safari, every page is still there, but reloads and then appears as if I just recently visited it.

This can also happen if I switch tabs in my browser — Safari feels like it is necessary to reload the page I've been on for so long already. No, there is not a way to retrieve a post after Safari does this.

When a person gets really invested in his work, he feels a lot of negative emotions when this work fails. In fact, investment in something is positively correlated with both the intensity of and length of time of emotions felt about that thing. This is a basic finding of emotion science that I would think is common knowledge.

Because of this fact, it is no wonder that I might be despairing about a lost post two minutes after posting it. Two minutes isn't really much time at all.

I hope you process this post less unintelligently than you have my others, but believe me, I'm not losing sleep over it.

Just a vibe. He speaks technically and his posts seem to have no uniform purpose, like he is picking random things to say to hide his scumness. His general reaction to scumhunting in that he interjects at odd times with odd comments that achieve nothing. He never bothered to give me scumreads (from memory, correct me if I am wrong), he just tries to throw random suspiscions on others but doesn't seem contemplative of his suspiscions, emotionally engaged with them or even assured of what he is trying to say. He is trying to fly under the radar with a very odd style that just screams scum.

I won't doubt that other players are doing similar things, but that doesn't make Mogri any less scummy, just that we potentially have a large neighbourhood of scum.

I am too tired right now to put it in words really well, but after my last iso of Mogri, if I recall why I picked him over red.. he seemed to be saying a lot of stuff that didn't add up, or that he didn't pursue except superficially, and his emotion level changed a lot imo from "somewhat gung ho" to "fuck it whatever" to "but he did it too". At that point his iso just felt more "dirty" than red's. But, I haven't looked at the game in two days and I'm tired as shit, so everyone is kind of blending together right now. Your post directly contradicts that sentiment about Mogri, and I'm highly inclined to rethink my stance.. after I take a nap and get a fresh head I would like to look back over him.

Honestly I have like five players that I'm just wondering if they're tagging off cause you never see them at the same time but they're all playing about the same. And either they're all kinda bad at scum or they're just not invested in this game. Which could be either. I'm honestly more wary of the highly competent players because they're harder to catch when scum.

NS I can't get a handle on because he has the tiniest snippets where he almost plays right and I want so badly to hold onto that but.. I can't excuse the rest of it. I feel like he either is barely reading or he tries to twist things he reads, and then (mostly) ignores replies that call him on it.
