I use gut-meta heavily. It's how I catch onto players like Kuribo, Faraday, Fate, Mina, DGB, mith, etc. I mix it into what I'm seeing in the current game. Long story short, read primarily based on game and what I'm seeing (+ heavy amounts of gut), and if my gut has not been wrong before then I tie that in.

For example, I am never wrong when it comes to reading Kuribo or Spyspy, my gut is always right. All I have to do is simply skim over their posts, and my gut gives me an instant read.

This post is probably my biggest problem with Katsuki. He is trying to push the Zach wagon ever so softly by using ambiguous language that seems based on meta.

When I ask him about it he goes on to give me a really large explanation with examples that don't really matter in the specific situation and overall the read on Zach looks fake.

Kuribo and Katsuki were friends before they started to play mafia on Mafiascum. Faraday, Fate, Spyrex, Mina, DGB, and mith are all from that era of activity where Katsuki played often and played actively. Of course he is going to be able to use his gut-meta style to read those players, that isn't a feat unique to Katsuki. Players who play with each other often are going to be able to read each other more effectively just from looking at their posts.

However, Katsuki has only played

years ago. Does that read and reasoning stand the test of time? I don't think so. I think it was Katsuki over-explaining his methodology in order to look better to the town.

In addition to that, Katsuki's activity has generally gotten worse as this game has progressed. I can't really definitively say that given the Apocalypse mechanic skews things but I don't know who Katsuki's suspicions were yesterday and who he really suspects today. On top of that, he also has been trying to push lynches more quickly than normal without really contributing much to the discussion at hand. Fanning the fires without adding any wood.

That is false. I hadn't played a single game with mith before prior to /invitational 13, which was my only game prior to this one.

You're also doing little more than calling out my playstyle in this post.

Not to mention, with the bolded statement, I do believe I stated somewhere in the thread around that time that my read may be off given that it was 2 years ago.

This reads list is the perfect excuse to get rid of Matt because naturally people will think that Matt was killed for his scumreads and if scum were within his townreads they have the ultimate red herring to use. So far, 3 people on that list have flipped town and if there are scum on that list, why the fuck would they shoot him and confirm his accuracy? Unless he wasn't that accurate to begin with at all. Only 3 more people are left from Matt's original list and I have a feeling that at most only 1 of his scum reads was correct.

Matt is a good player but he was under a lot of pressure. Additionally, he had just supplied a reads list. Why would scum throw away the chance at a mislynch like that especially since the pool of his scumreads was still diluted enough to by some time? They knew he wasn't going to be protected because of his suspicion if there is any protection to begin with. They knew that people would gobble up the reads list as the reasoning he was killed.

And you talk as if you had no reason to silence him. If anything, I had far less reason to do so than you did. You're doing little more than taking something that's happened and twisting it to try and apply scumminess to me.

I could be cheeky right now and offer some of my scum meta as to why there would be no way I'd kill Matt, but that's not important.

Thoughts on setup:

Relatively powerless setup. Probably revolved around the Cultilante. Kill flavor suggests that enomis killed zach N1.
Given that town is thus far relatively powerless aside from having a kill... scum probably are too. Normally, scum would have some sort of power to help them find such a PR, and if so, town should conversely have something to help protect said PR. I know Vi said this game tests our ability to either find or protect this PR, which is irking me somewhat. Going by this wording, I want to say that SOO is town even though his role seems iffy and feels like it has virtually no uses.

We're short on time so I'll comment on Amrun's role too. So far I don't know what to think of it. I have no idea what the chances of Vi giving town both a flavour cop and Tarharlandur... Tar is historically ALWAYS scum in Vi games, and usually the most powerful or unique PR on the scumteam. Role is only useful for confirming other roles, which would suggest that, if town, that scum have roles where they'd have an incentive to lie about their rolename?
If this is a scum role then I doubt Amrun's claim is truthful but we won't go there as it's meaningless to (if she lied about it she'll just say she didn't and nothing to prove otherwise).

Play wise I'm still happy with lynching Oversoul today. He's done nothing all game aside from pushing mislynches, and today trying to attribute these mislynches to me (not to mention NKs).

That does remind me that Tierce reading me as scum is weird, considering she used to read me rather well. I don't remember if I've played as scum with her before, but she used to always have me read as town when I was town from what I recall. It's one of the things that reinforced my scumread on her.

In case something does happen to me, I still think Tammy is solidly town. I feel much better about zdenek today than I did before so that's at least a plus. Oversoul is pretty much guaranteed scum based on play and at point, PoE to some extent (there are still at least 2, possibly 3 scum left).
Going on that thought, Syry is actually probably more likely to be scum than town.

Regarding setup, town has next to no PRs. As such, I doubt it would be balanced to be running a 4/11, especially given the apocalypse mechanic, which drastically cuts down on our discussion and no one in this game seems to enjoy lynching at that tempo. Even with a killing role, 3/12 is quite balanced all things considered. This might be different if SOO is what he says he is, but considering he's claimed ability fails all those previous nights, I have my doubts on the balance of a 4/11. If it is indeed 4/11 we're actually in MYLO today and I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of content coming from those not named zdenek and tammy.

Also, just went back for sake of it to find games I've played with Oversoul before. Found that he's also read a bunch of the games I played, but in all these games, I was either active town, or inactive scum. Yet, he uses my activity this game as evidence for me being scum. Whee BS cases.

Amrun. Though it's a rather pointless question given that you guys already lynched her. My reasoning for this may be important, but you actually noticed how amrun went back and forth on me throughout the game so.

Oh regarding days events:

First thing, quite disliked how ffrey harps on me for inactivity when y'all avoided this game like the plaque all of yesterday.
Beyond Amrun, my secondary scumread is in flux. I had been hoping to find more stuff to point me in a better direction as to scumbuddy but well.
I dug through all the VCs last night, and well... didn't help except tell me that scum this game aren't particularly fond of bussing. Oh, and there was a very annoying lack of flips on the wagons.

So...

Right now whats notable for me is the D1 wagon. Antagon was an easy lynch, yet only 1 scumbuddy bussed. ALSO, WE ARE STILL MISSING A VOTE HERE, WHICH MAKES IT EVEN MORE CURIOUS. Oh which reminds me the Amrun case on hp that he was from another scumteam yadayada. Antagon was on the counter-wagon as is to be expected, but if SOO is town, scum had fun not doing anything in particular. I'm not the type of player to do so, but re-reading D1 with these end-VCs in mind would probably be helpful.

D2 tells us scum mislynched hp.

D3 is where things are really interesting. I was the leading wagon with all town voting me, yet the day somehow ended on implosion. I voted for him to prevent no-lynch and also because a lynch on me is more undesirable, though I'm regretting that now as implosion would be much more useful here than I am.

Nothing really interesting after other than FFREY BARELY VOTES!!! Just noticed that and it is strange and interesting. I don't really have much useful things to say though. I hope this VC helps with re-reading and reanalyzing the game.

I however don't see scum-SOO trying to create a new wagon when he could've just easily voted me what with there being no scum on the wagon in the first place. Syry and ffrey jumped on rather fast if I remember correctly (probably should reread this part too).

Yeah I don't think I ever went through completely on my amrun scummy read. I would never have expected scum to claim Tar, and in all honesty I think this made me hesitant on her.

Anyone who's played Vi games (I've played in most of them I think), knows that Tar is always scum. Hence Amrun claiming Tar made me go wat, is Vi mindfucking us here? Beyond that, I simply didn't put the thought I should have before LYLO.

Eh, D6 there was no way I was voting Syry, given her play, Tar claim, and also the VERY start of D6 where she [REDACTED BECAUSE VI THINKS THIS IS TALKING ABOUT ONGOING GAMES]. But pretty much Ellitell confirmed amrun as scum. '

Oh and rereading your post, I never ended up going on Amrun sooner because there was always someone who was scummier to me, starting with Matt, Tierce and OS. So she kept getting bumped down the priority list so much that she escaped my focus until that last day, where she was the highest on my scumlist.

I will be voting ffery. If SOO is scum, then you played a hell of a scumgame, but nothing from this day has changed my townread on SOO. His play this game just doesn't make sense from a scum point of view. I'm sure I've outlined this in my last post of D6 and first post of D7.
