Reck moves up to scum in our list. I knew someone was going to go "why did scum only move on player?" to draw attention to a extraneous detail, and I had the feeling that player would be scum. I mean, and with especially the other shift, the way the shifts are right now, we're pretty unproductive, I had a feeling that our shifts would not change much, if at all. Cheery and I had been waiting on that. We're of the opinion that shift distributions and and changes are of little consequence, and are just a detail to muck things up some more. This also makes me wary of the Venmar vote a little bit. Reck's sheeping play of BRO is uninspiring, because Reckscum would know if BRO was right or not. And if BRO is wrong, all Reck gets to do is throw up his hands and say "I was following the confirmed town" and wash his hands of his play. I don't like it at all.

I still haven't read much on the other shift, admittedly... I'm basically only popping in occasionally to see if IJ said anything about me on that page.

Venmar brings up a good point that each shift has to have at least one scum... I guess I forgot about that clause, because it makes PoE/grouping easier and that's my faaaaavorite way to scumhunt.

As you can see, 14.5 and The Goat were moved out of the shift, and Me and Ika were moved in, I believe I moved in post-Zor and Ika post-Serene. Why were Goat and 14.5 cycled out? Goat received a lot of flack for his hammer on Zoraster, and then was immediately moved out of the roster of people Zoraster was in inexchange for me? But this was done in a fashion that made the night shift day shift and the day shift the night shift, essentially making it look like Goat never actually moved. Goat might have been dragged out of my shift for his protection, as a theory. I think the 14.5 switch with Ika is more subtle and not as suspicious, but this needs a bit more reading to deduce if there is a reason for their switch.

I don't know how hiplop's apparently confirmed townieness somehow got rolled into my claim but I never claimed he was town, just that I didn't want him dead yet.

I'm Cecily Green, the Boss Who Is Good At Her Job and Well-Liked by Her Employees But Just Can't Seem To Kick That Cocaine Habit. I'm a neighbor, but I am also a 1-shot Shift Manipulator. This means once per game I can set any requirement for the next shift and the mods will try to accommodate it. (AKA -- Venmar & Goat must be on different shifts). I said this confirms me as town because SCUM ALREADY MANIPULATE THE SHIFTS and set them from the start, so having this ability means I'm not scum because it'd be a stupid, redundant ability for scum to have.

I was waiting to use this until I was forced to claim, so I used it: I put myself and hiplop on different shifts. I had the GRAND idea while sitting in our neighbor QT, where I originally posted that quoted response to Infinite Jesters, that if we were both on separate shifts, it would allow both of us to stay engaged via the other person since we could just post for the other person when they had something to say about the other shift. I think this is a good idea because it will allow me to read and have an impact on the other shift which has been a huge deterrent from my contributing this game.

hiplop is just a neighbor, according to him. I'm not AT ALL convinced of his townieness but he could be a useful tool for me to help parse through the other shift.

For Reck I don't agree that it would be useless for scum to have a one shot redistributer or whatever. I think it could be advantageous for scum to mix things up especially after a town claims an action or something of the sort. As for hiplop I don't see that what he's posted in the neighbor topic is anything I wouldn't expect from him if he is town. And I don't agree that a vanilla neighbor has to be scum based on setup spec.

basically the summary is: hiplop thought goat looked really inno in his late day posts; ika gives him bad feels but thinks it's just lynchbait/easy mislynch; GM looks really calculated/scripted/robotic

This mechanic was cute but I think it actively harmed the game. I dunno, I wish there was a better way to do it, but locking people out of posting in the thread for periods of time just killed any chance for town this game.
