Wait, we're playing a serious game of Mafia? Nobody told me that we had to study the family hierarchy. It's so boring to have to go over that.

Mod: This game was listed as "No hydras." I did not sign up to play with a hydra.
With apologies to ooba, it's uncommon to have a hydra-less Large Theme and an interesting one at that.

beastcharizard being more focused on defending himself than attacking other people is something of a concern, but it's also bugging me that he spontaneously brought up that scum might need the name cop ability. On the other hand, Marquis being both town and a public Day name cop would not preclude scum having their own, more powerful version, especially when they're already fairly handicapped. I don't think this is worth speculating right now, though, because there isn't enough information. It's just something I'm mulling over right now.

The matter of the Norweld succession is beyond me.

I agree with curiouskarmadog.

Oops. To be clear, it's bugging me in the sense that I'm not immediately seeing beastcharizard as scum because the tone of the post sounded like a genuine revelation. From scum's point-of-view, a Marquis-scum would've been background information and not necessarily something to bring to the thread with that much spontaneity.

From a very cursory skim, I have no idea what is going on. I hate that Antihero basically gunned for curiouskarmadog and didn't see me jump on the Antihero wagon for essentially no reason, but I think I have to actually read those walls to understand what's going on with the two of them. Sigh. I'm kind of torn on beastcharizard, and I hate every single one of you metagamers for bringing up game after game because there's no time to read them all and gaaaah.

I wasn't fond of how the curiouskarmadog wagon was progressing before, but right now I'm not very fond of some of curiouskarmadog's behavior, either. Decisions, decisions. What's bothering me are the number of people just sheeping Albert B. Rampage. I can sort of see how that can be happening, but it still feels sketchy just reading the posts jumping on. On the other hand, curiouskarmadog on this page has been demanding some weird explanations of people. Vague feelings yay. I promised that I'd read back and I should do that.

Tammy, forgive me if you talked about this already and just point out where you did, but how did curiouskarmadog feel to you in the game that you read?

I'm with Tammy that discussing beastcharizard is becoming increasingly urgent, especially because there seems to be a very apparent lack of interest in that department from the people who should be talking about it.

So, yes, none of you chuckleheads should be lynching before
both
beastcharizard and Marquis come to this thread.

In post 343, Kovara wrote:talk to me. I think you could be a trusty adult!

I don't think outting PR's isn't as dangerous this game, as it would normally be since kills don't happen on a normal basis, but PR's need character names in order to work, so keeping the list limited to only weaker players being outted keeps the stronger players alive, and making it so that scum can't learn names of the PR's will keep said PR's alive. what am I missing?

The dangerous flipside to your proposal has already been stated by others, but basically it's not trivial for scum to figure out their desired target by process of elimination or even shooting based on what they know of the flavor. This goes double if they have their own name cop (or, FakeGod forbid, two on the same Night).

On a less related note, I'm still feeling weird about curiouskarmadog because he's been on the defensive all Day (which is not entirely his fault *cough*), but what he said after FakeGod did-not-confirm the alignment:character connection feels genuine to me. Besides, I'm willing to buy a last-minute wagon on Antihero again because why not!

Vote: Antihero

I don't really understand the argument against Marquis, so that's something I need to look into within the next day or so before deadline hits unless someone feels like giving an explanation with 90% less meta. I expect to have time in the morning, so that's what's happening.

Mod: Is the time of Day action dependent on its type (e.g., investigative actions at end of Day, kill actions immediately)?

This is basically curiosity at this point, since the question I was originally asking has already been addressed.

Kovara, on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is "I'd self-hammer before he gets lynched" and 5 is "DIE SCUM DIE," where do you stand on curiouskarmadog?

There is no way an Antihero wagon could have built that fast when there has been so much resistance to anything else, including the curiouskarmadog wagon that had also had its fair share of sheep.

I seriously object to this mischaracterization. I have been on precisely two wagons today -- and both I have long maintained are scum. You are making it seem as though I'm wagon-hopping willy-nilly without a care in the world, and that's just false.

You seem town to me thus far...... are you trying to change that?

How is it helpful to you to threaten to change your read of me? It should not matter to you because if you think that I am scum, then you have more work to do than to ask me this.

curiouskarmadog, if you haven't done so already, review the wagons now, especially the latest iteration of the Antihero wagon since it doesn't seem like you've done that yet. You're in the best position to do so, and if you're town your input would be invaluable.

I asked you because I, too, am on a holiday... and also because I was hoping you had more insight than I would being in the position that you are, but admittedly that is totally second to being on V/LA. Whatever you can pull out whenever you have time will be helpful.

Vote: Antihero

Despite my misgivings about how the wagon built earlier, I think I'm more willing to go with this than with curiouskarmadog at this point given his most recent reaction. I'd also be willing to go onto SXTLHGaiden if enough people voice support in time.

My promise to hop on the bigger wagon, even if it's curiouskarmadog, still stands if Kovara doesn't get her lion butt in here in the next hour and a half.

Antihero posting in other places during the deadline crunch is not okay and, considering what happened here early on Day 1, suggests a persistent, scummy pattern. I'd join you, but we have 8 days and I want to spend at least some of that on SXTLHGaiden, who hammered curiouskarmadog just as talks of further flash wagons were happening.

This is absolutely perfect timing (grin), but I'm going to request replacement. It probably hasn't been apparent here, but I've been having issues alternately with access and time, and it doesn't seem like that's going to change; it'd be better to have someone active than someone who's going to lurk for 2-3 days at a time.
