Special thanks for Almost50 for killing D&D. I was dreading finding the opportune moment to murder him, since I knew we would have to use numbing mist on him. Thanks to KC and Ranger who kept me sane in the scum PT. Thanks Varsoon for answering my hundreds of questions I asked over the course of the game.

I'm glad I managed to fool a few people this game. Another big mistake I made here was handling my flavor. The immense power of my role was balanced by the fact that anyone flavor diving would be likely to come to the conclusion that I was Amygdala, if they knew I controlled Patches. Amygdala is a horridly scummy claim and while I considered just biting the bullet and saying I am one of the Great Ones but aligned with town, I tried using my fakeclaim which just didn't work. There was some good justification for me being Willem (namely owning the Nightmare Frontier) which I should have used and didn't because I was just so flummoxed that Cerb had caught me at the last possible second.

I think the single biggest problem with this setup was the multivoting. Pebbles and Blood Cocktails were only very conditionally useful counterplay. Combine that with the fact that my role was scum and could unilaterally lynch once I had the votes, the way these last few games panned out could only have been avoided if you killed me very quickly. Which you didn't; instead I amassed a lot of power.

The flavor aspect of the game was good I just got the short end of the stick, which was admittedly fair considering the sheer power of my role.

@Nahdia: I think many people misunderstood Blood Cocktails and Pebbles. It always stops the first vote they can render, not just the first singular vote rendered. Pebble forces that first vote rendered to stay on you. I did not make this explicit enough and only realized late on that it was that way.

Oh, another fun fact about this game.

In KC's role PM, there's an ability which details how a player can achieve a secret 3rd party win condition if they hammer her while at 7 insight.
What Varsoon FORGOT to include was that the person hammering has to be TOWN. So I immediately started plotting how I could ally myself with town and promise them two scum removed from the game if they helped me.

Honestly, being outted scum in my Nightmare and taunting my prey was pretty great.

Randomly remembered; another dumb mistake I made was not making Ranger make all the kills earlier. She uses Beasthood! I should have had her do the kills on town people to get her access to more redirects, but I didn't force the issue when she mentioned not wanting to make the kills. Having Klingon do them at any point except when she was strongkilling was a waste of resources.

This game was a lot of fun. Sorry I played a huge part in... well, quite frankly, breaking it. I did what I had to do :[ and yeah by the end it didn't exactly feel like... mafia, per se.

yeah, i get it being discouraging. there was very much a gap between the people who had the information and those who didn't. A huge portion of the scum PT is just me feeding everything I learn to my team (i make well over half the posts there). This game was bullshit because our slot caught Bogre day 1, was about to lynch Nahdia day 2, Frozen out of nowhere decides its a good idea to ruin the game with a gladiate, and we get strongman killed. There should never have been a strongman. Scum were too strong.

Look, I don't like to argue and I hate to seem like I'm bragging but no, town was NOT on point this game.

Day 1 you POLICY LYNCHED a lurker who happened to be scum.
Day 2 you had the right idea on me, but clearly I convinced you (any many others) otherwise. Town mislynched.
Day 3 town mislynched.
Day 4 town mislynched.
Night 4, town orchestrated UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF YOUR SLOT a double lynch to occur at the very beginning of Day 5 which was to hit two town. It was only in the last couple hours of a 48 hour extension to the night that it was changed to hitting 1 town 1 scum, and in the VERY LAST HOUR of that week long night that Cerberus realized I was scum.
Day 5 town almost mislynched again, Cerb finally wised up and figured out I was manipulating the game, but then didn't have the gall to follow through and ended up tipping me off that he was on to me. Resulting in my 3 day long murderous rampage.

A lot of blame rests on excessive lurking in the town, but you ended up with your only scumlynch because of a scumlurker as well.

I mean, there were no traditional roles whatsoever. I don't necessarily think this was scumsided. RI's role as really powerful, in particular that rune he has would have killed me if you hadn't gotten Cerb to explain in detail how his anti quick-lynch ability works.

In terms of scum utility we had....
A loud roleblocker which also grants benefits (fairly useless unless I was able to trick you into letting me use it how I wanted to use it; which I

A BP who could buy the roleblock and redirect abilities but nothing else.

Like, my role was easily our most powerful simply because of the lynch mechanics and there was plenty of counterplay to that which was nullified (Almost50 and R&L both countered my role).

I'm really sorry that it burdened you like that. As I mentioned in my scum PT, this game took a toll on me physically as well. As we approached the deadline for the day we were supposed to quicklynch and I felt you getting closer to the truth with each delay it really started fucking with me. Read the PT again. You didn't know dead people had a vote until Zorblag told you. That was the critical moment when it went from "catching you off guard" to a quicklynch contest.

We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood. You are aligned with Byrgenwerth , a once great academy of which you are the final scholar. In order to win the game, you must survive one full day phase at 10 influence. Once you achieve your win condition, you will be removed from the game as having achieved your third-party win condition. If another faction achieves their win condition before yours has been met, you will be endgamed. For the purposes of abilities that interact with a player's alignment, you function as town.

Read through the PT's. Some funny things here and there:

Seems like no one was reading the role flips; everyone who ended up in Sensei's Nightmare was wondering who controlled the Nightmare with the exception of Ranger, who had the benefit of me prattling off all the information we knew again and again in the scum PT.
Had Zulfy been slightly more astute, he would have realized Klingoncelt somehow entered the Nightmare in the middle of the night phase, which woulda been a big hint that she was the one in control of it.
The song linked in the OP of my Nightmare PT was literally the theme for my true role, Amygdala.
There was another "slip" I made in my claim; I declined to claim that I gained insight for inviting people to my PT. This was inconsistent with both Nightmare flips you'd seen (Sensei's and Bogre's) and had Klingon flipped, you woulda seen it from her too. I was actually quite worried people would realize I was only pretending to be starved for insight, but no one made the connection.
I was literally 100% spot on with the move Cerb was making using his Cainhurst PT :p

No, nothing is worse than the simple fact that I opened up my PT to tell dwlee to go ahead and lynch Nahdia when the day started/was gonna give him a signal and found that I could no longer tell him that even though the deadline said 15 minutes left.

That entire situation happened wholly because I was denied the ability to coordinate with dwlee at a time when I should have been able to. This was before we knew it was all a race. It wasn't town not being fast enough, on that first day.

Well consider it consolation for
1) Getting an extra 47 hours and 15 minutes
2) Getting unrestricted access to talking with Mixed6, which was a mod error.

You could have coded to dwlee: Vote Nahdia. Hell, you could have voted me and said out loud for dwelee to follow. I wasn't there.

And they weren't the ones who chose to gladiate.

Which is, again, why I sympathize a lot with Frozen Angel. (Though, Frozen Angel, my dear, I can't say you're blameless either, sorry. <3)

Sure, shadow lied, but it was obviously optimal to do so. Your job as town is to not get mislynched, and by doing so he ensured he would never be mislynched.

And again, the power simply shouldn't have been used so early in the game.

*shrug* I assure you, in a game where town could have actually talked during the day/been able to lynch normally, your team was going to get chain lynched(assuming my survival), with the only uncertainty being whether we'd lynch you or shinobi third, with the other coming fourth.

This game did have a lot of town utility, relatively. 3/4 scum roles were centered around being Neighborizers which have to invite themselves at some point and the other one was just a BP. Unfortunately pretty much all of town's killing abilities got aimed at other town while scum amassed a huge amount of power.

I recently had a role in marathon which I thought was a cool way of using a gladiator. In addition to gladiating my target, it also made them hated.
