"Let's hear his claim" is so far fucking removed from "knowing he's town before the lynch" that I can't help but question a logical leap that would make Jesse Owens blush

But I digress. I don't get off work for four more hours, I haven't slept in two days, and God help me I'm actually trying to repeat my greatest town game ever which was a result of not screaming at people, so I'm just gonna let your bullshit slide for now and let you finish until I'm caught up. Because I'm tired, I'm irritable, and even though I'm trying to turn over a new leaf, there's still a lot of War left in me.

Me personally, I've always been extremely offended on a personal level when people accuse me of fake rage. It pisses me off, and as such I extend that courtesy to others.

Calling someone's rage fake when they're already pissed is just throwing gasoline into the fire and driving them into an even stronger emotional reaction. It's taunting them, and they tend to see it that way.

In short, it's a dick move.

I'm up to page 17. My main scum suspects as I'm reading are Aristo and UTL.

TSQ is pretty much a non-entity and will continue sliding down the scale if he doesn't start posting soon

hard-townreading Ceph and strongly townreading House. Slightly less strong town read on Spiffeh, but not by much

I was town against TSQ-scum in Weather Mafia II. That was four years ago, though my experience was that he was pretty detached from the game. My understanding at the time though was that as scum, he was usually... was charming the word? Basically they felt he was more charismatic as scum? I don't remember, I'd have to look that up.

But I can't ignore it when a veteran player just doesn't seem to be trying.

House is right. Why you felt the need to interject speculation into that is beyond me.

well, i mean, why you would do it as town is beyond me

pedit: theres a world of difference between him claiming vigilante and him saying he shot at someone who didn't die

and an even further world of difference when you add "but he probably shot someone who wouldn't be protected"

that's a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally long stretch for someone who has the same information as town

Alright, finished Day 1, here's my notes and where I'm sitting with my reads at the moment. anyone i havent mentioned is pretty much just white noise to me at this point

Spoiler:
Muffin buddying house? Page 3
House: "Accusing people of trying to look busy in the opening of a game is just silly." agreed
Fire questions LLD's anger
Katsuki votes GI, could have gone after an easier D1 target
TSQ votes UTL for "inactivity" on... page 5?
Lotta shitposting from everyone first few pages, nothing new
Aris and Kats wanna be neighborized, not sure how i feel bout that, maybe a town tell for katsuki
UTL's post is annoying, thinks IAI is fakeposting
wasn't i scum with IAI one time? need to go back and check on that (death note maybe or was that someone else or)
yaaaaay 6 pages down only a thousand fucking more to go plz kill me
Ceph good point regarding House claim, house is fucked if someone else flips strongman
keep an eye on grey, can't read him for shit anyway
ceph vocalizes whether or not scum got a chance to strategize. pretty sure thats in the rules? possible town tell. yup there it is, scum were able to coordinate
GI thinks that was a fake towntell, i disagree, it's entirely too stupid to pretend not to get
Kats agrees with GI about the towntell, ceph says he could have faked it as scum, but i mean, thats pretty fuckin sloppy for a fake post so
GI and Kats tag teaming Fire
UTL claiming maybe scum would take neighborizer. Why? Neighborizer is pretty fucking useless regardless of alignment.
Spiffeh not liking IAI's 103 ("is this serious i almost deprived scum of a role too?") and I don't quite disagree so
Spiffeh also not liking Aristo's saying the strongman claim is scummy. not a fan of it either
UTL brings up light to Spiffeh out of nowhere
hebichan claims to have decided he wanted neighborizer before learning his alignment. not a fan of that argument.
SuddenlyARabbit is fresh meat and mentions that. if he's scum, he's way in over his head in this game.
disagree with hebi in 215 re spiff
UTL accuses hebi of being defensive, i didn't see it that way
UTL reaching out to the newbie but the interaction just feels off to me
ceph with a snarky reply to UA's ninja claim, not liking that
ZZZX is shitposting, no content here
Aristo questions whether UA won ninja. says its important, pretty fucking obvious the answer to this question tho
UTL throwing shade on both strongman and ninja going to town, pretty pointless there
Aristo repeats his question despite it being a total of maybe eight minutes since he asked. what was the point of that
Aristo questions why UTL doesn't believe
like, lets be clear here, they didn't "just happen to steal" strongman, at least in my case my predecessor chose to piss all of his points away on stupid shit. it wasn't a matter of coincidence, it's a conscientious decision on his part.
House questioning UA's claim, but that's pretty short sighted. 1- what's the point of telling people you're a ninja if you're scum? 2- Isn't there the possibility for an auction cop? GI insinuated that there was. 3- Claiming that strongman is more valuable than ninja, i mean, that's kinda subjective and depends on if you think town would go for protective vs information
UTL again questioning it, but heres the thing, they don't have to coordinate to have the exact same idea, because im pretty sure denying roles to scum is a thing that happens in PYP
Agree with house re: Aristo and UTL interaction being backward
This argument from UTL just looks like shit
jesus fuck, only 12 pages down
Ceph saying 100 on scum power roles is a good move for scum. agreed
If no other townie claims to have put 100 into strongman, then they wasted their points unless House got it. And since he's being cagey about that fact, I don't think he did.
Agree with Grey that town would have claimed to wasted their points
Grey with a disingenuous notion that UA "is VLA enough to pop in and respond." This was literally several minutes after his first post of the game, he most likely had time to post on site and saw there was more going on in the thread? How is that "popping up" when he was already around?
Ceph defending Spiffeh, eh
Agree with kats that the other person / people who spent 100 on strongman should claim
IAI taking shots at UTL, wants UTL dead, can't disagree on that
Muffin town reading UTL
Kats calls Ceph confirmed town, I wouldn't go that far but he's pretty fucking town
I don't have a solid read on katsuki yet
TSQ not posting much, similar to weather mafia 2 but that was like four years ago
Spiffeh could go for Aristo, agreed there
hiplop going after TSQ, can't say I hate that
ganski feels IAI's posts feel fake, spiffeh does not
Aristo: "ha ha, you're right, my play is bullshit, and you're town for noticing!" fuck outta here
Aristo likes IAI
Fire thinks LLD is town and GI scum; Defends IAI
Spiffeh points out that Aristo's posting history is bullshit
UTL going after TSQ for not posting
Don't like Katsuki going after TSQ
FA telling Katsuki of all people that he knows little of rage made me laugh
FA being really condescending toward Kats
TSQ's rage feels town to me
Aristo doesn't have reads, surprise surprise
why the fuck does hiplop vote Spiffeh?
Aristo shitposting again, correcting UTL's gender
TSQ calling out Aristo
Aristo calling Spiffeh town
TSQ saying aristo's posts are like furniture but he's wrong at least furniture is useful
TSQ trying to get aristo to make any post of substance, I like this push
ARisto defending GI
Aristo thinks Kats is scum but not worth pursuing
House thinks Aristo is scum, no argument there
Fire going hard after GI
Muffin doesn't think Aristo is scum
Aristo finally gives some reads: LLD / TSQ / House / Fire / Spiffeh town, Kats, ZZZX, UTL, Light, Ceph scum. Reads feel "Safe"
Aristo calls GI scum and votes the newbie
IAI calls LLD scum, asks her why she's mad, she's LLD, she's always mad
Aristo disagrees with hebi that IAI is scummy
Muffin votes Grey
hiplop with a nebulous vote on Aristo
Light wagon starts here
shotty doesn't like IAI, hey if you evber come back to the site, at least we agree on one thing
I'm really not liking hiplop's potshots
UTL jumps on the light bandwagon, don't like the timing
Fire reaaally wants grey dead
Like at this point, light is hard to defend because his play has been shit, so this wagon isn't giving me much
Shotty votes hiplop, again, no argument from me
hiplop replaces out, I don't see it as alignment indicative
Aristo immediately buddies creature
LLD and hebi hopping onto light, also don't like the timing there. one of them might be scum.
IAI making some pretty shit arguments. Townreading hiplop and suspecting light, lol
Shotty saying Shea blew things out of proportion (maybe) but that replacing out was a ploy to get hiplop to replace out. No, that's ass-backwards, that's not a thing that happens because TSQ would have no way of knowing hiplop would leave.
Spiffeh calls UTL town... but why?
Spiffeh goes after IAI, good posting
IAI seems upset that Spiffeh is scumreading him
shotty moves to IAI
IAI and Ceph sniping at one another
IAI hammers before light can post
Creature is right, IAI hammered his own wagon which had come up as a counter
Muffin says the hammer was forced if light is town, yuup
IAI trololo my bad
Fire Assassin killed N1, i have theories about this and i've often said night kills are underanalyzed on this site. his death incriminates GI heavily. Like, he literally had exactly one scum read, his posting wasn't particularly town, and if no one has stepped forward to say he was vigged then he was killed for his reads.

Spiffeh- town posting and critical thinking
hebi- probably town unless confident scum player
House- probably town due to arrogance / claim
ceph- town tell in 161
UTL- scum from interactions and role spec
Aristo- scum from his interactions
TSQ- town for interactions with hiplop / general posting when he's around
Creature- lean scum, hiplop was super scummy to me, Creature a little less so but still
LLD- No strong read yet, worrying
GI- Possible scum due to Fire death
IAI- Null to scum

and honestly page 18 is pretty much dominated by the aforementioned TSQ/hiplop meltdown, so you can see how that would get lost in the shuffle

You can question that if you want, but honestly I can't really place why you feel off to me on day 1

and it's not "literally posting misinformation," 1- my notes are pretty much just for me to follow. I put them in the thread because I figured it might save me some time from people saying shit like "wait why do you lean scum on me" 2- there was a loooooong time between you questioning light and voting her (when she had six votes), in between which TSQ and hiplop exploded and dominated the thread

and yeah, i have concerns about you. it's just the way it is. i don't want you lynched today, so don't worry about it.

okay, someone correct me if i'm reading the setup wrong because at the start of day 2 there's a ton of people claiming to be RB'd

Is it possible Fire was vigged rather than NK'd and that the scum NK got roleblocked / doc'd?

but if fire was vigged, it should be 1-shot, leaving no reason for a town-vig not to claim the shot

so probably an NK rather than a vig?

and what would scum have to gain by "staging" that nothing-interactive?

Murder's ISO? Did you click that one first before visiting Iraon's?
okay, fair enough, but even with iraon's, it's not like you have to dig for it

And 1745?
So at best, maybe he went into the ISO with a pre-conceived notion, ie, already knowing what murder had claimed.

and again, what motivation is there for scum to fake that self-interaction? There's no town points to be gained from it, it's not like anyone would say "oh, i wasn't sure, but yup, second guessing that makes him town"

Muffin's posting seems town, more so than Grey's to me

It's hard to ignore the gunsmith result, but obviously a vig wouldn't out himself until there was reason. Such as a gunsmith result.

heb's posts about the matter are waaaaay out there, I'll elaborate more a little later

Not feeling RM as scum but mostly because of shotty' posts. And that's significant coming from me because shotty and I have had personal issues in the recent past. His posting felt really town, and so did the incredulity about being replaced

I have literally zero knowledge about shotty other than the fact we don't like each other

(Now I see that he got it, which means it makes sense as scum to claim now as opposed to waiting for a massclaim.) (Also, he could be lying about putting 100 on ninja, this might be worth an auction cop. It's true scum probably doesn't do a 100 on ninja.)
pot, kettle, black.
That town slip.
Decent reads list.
What do you think about 161 and 918 being the same "township"?
Theres a world of difference between townslipping in the first few pages, and in the second 30 or wherever that is

that said, i'm pretty sure Anvil was paying zero attention to the game judging from the fact that the majority of his day 1 posts are prod dodges and VLAs. i highly doubt he said to himself "Oh, hey, lemme try the ol' townsliparoo" at a point where he was basically doing jackshit and wasn't really taking pressure for it

I'll give you a hint:

In world of Gumball, my scumbuddy Radiant Cowbells and I decided to scream at one another in a heavy-bus attempt. By the end of Day 1, the anger had turned so real between both of us rageposting that he replaced out and we decided never to ever interact with one another again.

In Bipolar Mafia, LLD got incredibly pissed off after her scumbuddies basically lurked to uselessness and realized the setup was pretty town-sided.

being pissed off isn't just for town, it's when you learn to read HOW they rage and WHY they rage that you start to get somewhere

now that i've got your attention, how bout you talk to me like you got some fucking sense and tell me what you think of hebi

and IAI / Aristo while you're at it

and fuck it, Katsuki too cause I can't read cupcakes
Hebi's town. I honestly don't know what you want me to say. She wanted to play a game with her roommates, she signed up to play with us, she bid on the neighborizor so she could chat with us, she's gave super honest opinions about everything... what's your objection exactly? She has different reads from you?

IAI... there were like 5 votes on him in about a page. He quickhammered. He blamed Spiffeh day 2. He lurked through the argument between me and Muffin, now he's back at deadline. Also he was roleblocked (one of two apparently). But that's okay. He has other powers. Mysterious powers. Good powers. Why it's pro town to say that is unknown. I mean these sorts of mistakes are inevitable, he's only been playing on site since... uh... it says here the year Henry Ford invented the Automobile?

Aristo is probably town. I have a qualm or two - the "It must be muffin or grey" thing isn't exactly my favorite, but as far as I can tell scum have stopped doing that because it doesn't work and looks scummy. Plus I want one of the two of us dead (a rather specific one) and he thinks about the game. Oh when I talk to him about UTL he seems to have actually read what she did. I know you didn't, but man, try it some time. Muffin's going to be working from here to doomsday to get 10 pieces of reasoning from her posts about anything.

Kats? Kats is a great player. Kats is thinking, Kats is sharp and vicious. Wanna tell Kats' alignment? Don't read a word he says. Follow the votes.
well, i didn't know hebi was y'alls roommate but that explains a lot hm

disagree about aristo though

but at least now we're getting somewhere

what looked even remotely town about his interaction with you? as far as I'm aware, his entire argument was literally just "I'm town because I wouldn't kill FA".
I asked him what he thought of some players, I liked his reasoning for the reads, even the ones I didn't agree with

Once he settled down and actually engaged me instead of ignoring me, I felt like we were at least getting somewhere

And I didn't say he was town, I said I feel a little better about him

And frankly, IAI was starting to piss me off with that bullshit acting like I'm sitting on a fence or trying to lurk out to deadline

Because if there's one thing I'm Fucking not, it's a lurker. And even when I'm scum I damn sure don't fence-sit and I sure as hell wouldn't let a no-lynch go through. And I don't fucking let my scum reads dictate my pace.

Knowing that hebi has an OOC relationship to ice and LLD makes it ten times harder if one of them is scum, but at least I understand the reason for his obstructionism.

Hebi, you need to remove your bias from the game and look at the slots objectively if you're town. I love DGB and pirate mollie dearly as my two closest friends on this site, but I'd drive either of them into the ground if I'm scum reading them, and they'll do the same to me.

So ask yourself--- honestly ask yourself: do you think Grey is town because of his play, or because you want him to be?

And honestly I need to take that advice myself re: grey because I'm pretty sure I'd feel like shit if I stayed on the wagon and he turns out to be town. But on the other hand id be kicking myself if I let him slip through my fingers yet again, or God forbid if he actually managed to mislynch me again.

1) The counterclaim doesn't matter because his scum team could have bid on it and told him to claim it because it would be free. The only counterplay to scum claiming their buddies roles in this setup is the 1 shot auction cop, that we don't even know if anyone has or has already been used.

2) I just told you, read how he deals with me. He doesn't psot walls at me for the most part, so you can see what I see from my perspective.

Do that and come back and talk to me about your read, please.

Yeah, I want Creature dead as fuck, but 10 hours before deadline is hardly the time to do it.

I'd hop over to Grey to avoid no-lynch too, but for the record all three wagons give me shitty feelings for various reasons

I go back and forth on Grey in my head, I feel like I'm in a similar position to hebi--- I like Grey as a person and I'd feel like shit if it was a mislynch, but I'd equally feel like shit watching him coast to endgame, then watching him post afterwards something like "Sorry, kuribo bro, that's just how the game goes. You played well, though!" while I say things like "GOD DAMMIT WHY THE FUCK DID I LET HIM OFF THE HOOK" And I can't put my faith in the idea that a vig shot would succeed against him if he's scum.

but then who's scum, kuribo?

Aristo, probably Creature, IAI but I'm wondering if he just pisses me off. I could see Grey scum. I feel like either him, LLD, hebi, and Katsuki has at least a scum among them but not sure why I feel that way and I'm not terribly sure which with any degree of certainty.

There's probably a scum within my town reads just by law of averages, not feeling Spiffeh, house or you as scum. I'm liking pie's most recent posts, Murdercat feels town. Who am I forgetting?

I've been in this game what, less than four days, and mostly had to watch muffin vs grey and listen to IAI try and accuse me of lurking (did I tell you to go fuck your self for that one yet)

This entire town has been completely stubborn and unwilling to budge from their reads for the most part, and while I get that some of those players are scum, they can't all be. Meaning we have a stubborn ass town, forming themselves into little blocs with their reads.

It's not unusual but if Grey is scum, he's only going to get harder to lynch as the game whittles down because of the LLD/hebi/Katsuki(?) bloc

And I will say I didn't like greys incessant pushing of the gunsmith as a guilty. It still feels like he's pushing a narrative. He can bitch at me all he wants, but that's how it feels to me.

I'm not 100% happy about having to vote RM but I feel a damn sight better about it than I would Muffin.

53 minutes. Fuck or walk. Lynch someone or we just have the same shitty discussions tomorrow.

+1.

this is exactly what is so wrong with the way ICE played pretty much this entire game day, and it isn't even just the gunsmith result. him nitpicking ridiculous shit like zmuffin's word choice in order to spin it like he found some smoking gun that zmuffin was "lying" is the exact same thing.

no, he didn't, and when I pointed out that he could easily have responded to it had he been town, he walked in here and called me scum for claiming he "ignored a post".

I've been waiting since night phase to point out

Anyone else notice Murdercat fucking CLAIMED TO HAVE USED ONE OF THE ABILITIES that we now know GI had based on his flip?

There's no other lynch than MC today. That's a monumental slip.

And my top two suspects are Aristo and im not quite sure. I will say Magua not shooting Murdercat looks bad on him and I think we should consider that he echoed the vig from Muffin while GI roleblocked him and Murdercat killed him. Or Murdercat did the echo and Magua covered for him.

Actually I'll go so far as to say there's no way a town vig should have spared Murdercat and if he claims he was blocked, we need to be wary of scum trying to hold a double kill for LYLO

Cuz I don't.

Since I'm into sheeping the dead, House's death reinforces my initial assessment that IAI is scum

So Murdercat, Aristo, IAI, maybe Magua since I just don't see a non shot coming from town. If Magua is scum, it's probably with IAI rather than Aristo, but I don't have the confidence to back that up yet

We avenged Muffin and FireAssassin, so after Murdercat pays for his sins, we can avenge House.

I think I'd agree with you considering house was pretty much universally town read

I do disagree, I don't feel he's shown much sign of being terribly engaged. Especially if you say he prefers town as far as you know. Read his ISO again with knowledge of Grey and Muffin's alignments

look at all the ROLEBLOCK shit in grey's flip

How many more could possibly be left to Fuck with Magua's shot?

Scum could have doc'd some way, sure, but on night 3? Without knowing if they'd be tracked and seen protecting him?

Esp if scum counterbid House on strongman, that means there's one scum without abilities

I'm laying odds that Magua didn't shoot Murdercat.

The fact that everyone calls IAI scum now that my attentions been on him and now that Grey/Muffin aren't pissing all over the thread (and with RM down) worries me. Where the fuck were you all when I was pushing that all by my lonely? Regardless of IAI's alignment, there's scum calling him scum.
