Things I'd like to make explicitly known Discovering a room that causes you draw a card ends your turn.
When you draw a card, you may instantly use the effects of that card.
We will be playing with the Widow's Walk expansion. This means the number of haunts is 100.
I will be running the game on Tabletop Sim, but the game will be played within the forums. While I have the physical copy, this will make it easier for me to send screenshots, and keep stuff going so I don't have to keep a physical copy of Betrayal setup at all times.
This game can be ran with 3 to 6 people. I'd prefer to run it with 5-6.
We will not be doing the Seasons of the Witch haunt.
Upon a failed haunt roll, the thread will be locked for 24 hours to give both sides to strategize adequately.
Dead players may continue to comment in any threads they have access to pertaining to this game. Being dead does not mean you lose access to posting. If you are one of the heroes and you die, I strongly urge that you continue helping your team. If you are one of multiple traitors, and you die, I strongly urge you help your team. If you are a solo traitor and you die, I strongly urge you try to mess with the heroes.

Not that big of one IMO. The biggest learning curve is just figuring out what you should be doing in specific situations and that's about it.
If you get put as traitor on your first go-around, it can be very hard, but most people I've taught this game typically understand what to do after like, a few minutes of playing?

As a general ease-of-explanation thing, please state what room you want to move into in the following method(s):
If you wish to move to the room to your left, please state you'd like to move left or move west. If you'd like to move to the room on your right, please say you are moving right, or east.
If you'd like to move into the room in front of you, state you'd like to move forward, or north. Backwards is behind/backwards/south.
As well, please state what rooms you are going through if you have to travel through multiple rooms. This makes it easier for me and others to understand. I will try to make a better map at some point.
As well, all players are allowed to freely talk while the game is going on. Death does not remove you from the game.
Spectators, feel free to ego after I add you to the PT, but do not give the players any advice! That is all I ask!

For dice rolls as well - please roll a number of d3 equal to the stat you must roll for. A result of 3 is counted as a zero.

Yea, I know for a fact that it’s supposed to be X-1 total omens revealed though, so that part’s correct. In the event we somehow trigger haunt here, I will privately ask if people want to do the haunt, since a turn 1 or turn 2 haunt isn’t very balanced half the time

chasm The second you enter this room, you can hear your footsteps echo out across it, and you accidentally kick a rock further into the room. You can hear it falling for what sounds like ages, and then finally hit the bottom. You look down, and into the inky black chasm in front of you... Better not fall in...

Upon trying to resolve Cape's action, I have realized I made a small moderation error in setting up this haunt. I have consulted with a list-mod, to try to determine what I should do. The error does not radically change anything in this haunt, and does not give any side an unfair advantage in my eyes. For sake of fairness however, I am announcing that there was an error. Going forward, this error will not happen again, and post-game, I will be willing to disclose what the error was, and why it happened. Until then, the haunt will play out like this, since this impacts the game in the least detrimental way.
Cape's action will be resolved in a moment, I just need to type up what the room is, and the corresponding card.

The door for this room is actually just a giant vault safe, but you don't realize that until you step inside, and look around at all the rations and other survival materials. Seems like if the world were to end, you'd be able to survive in here for a while...
