As a general ease-of-explanation thing, please state what room you want to move into in the following method(s):
If you wish to move to the room to your left, please state you'd like to move left or move west. If you'd like to move to the room on your right, please say you are moving right, or east.
If you'd like to move into the room in front of you, state you'd like to move forward, or north. Backwards is behind/backwards/south.

As well, please state what rooms you are going through if you have to travel through multiple rooms. This makes it easier for me and others to understand. I will try to make a better map at some point.

As well, all players are allowed to freely talk while the game is going on. Death does not remove you from the game.

Yea, I know for a fact that it’s supposed to be X-1 total omens revealed though, so that part’s correct. In the event we somehow trigger haunt here, I will privately ask if people want to do the haunt, since a turn 1 or turn 2 haunt isn’t very balanced half the time

You don't see anything out of the ordinary, so you take a few more steps into the room. You foot misses the floor. You begin to fall. Trying to correct yourself, you find it's too late. Before you can do anything, you begin sliding down the Coal Chute... and end up in the basement landing...

What's the strategy for this part of the game? Are we trying to spread out like a web or be more concentric?

The second you enter this room, you can hear your footsteps echo out across it, and you accidentally kick a rock further into the room. You can hear it falling for what sounds like ages, and then finally hit the bottom. You look down, and into the inky black chasm in front of you... Better not fall in...

You discover... the Chasm! You are on the left side of the chasm, and must attempt a speed roll of 3+ if you wish to cross the chasm. If you fail this roll, you will stop moving. You still have one space of movement left.

The next room on the room stack is a {Basement} tile, again.

@csf usually we are trying to like gather items and explore rooms so that when the haunt starts we might already have some of the locations/items we need to complete our objective. Any stat boosts we can get are also good. You usually want to end up close to your teammates and far away from the traitor, but we don’t know who will end up traitor so it’s hard to strategize who to stay close to. In general I try to explore different areas (at least a different floor) than other players since certain room tiles can only be found on certain floors.
