I've now the same impression of John that this game feels a bit harder for some reason

It's for different reasons though, mechanically I don't see the difference but somehow I feel out of touch with this game

I do wonder if it's a weird side-effect of having the same game run with the same game back-to-back.

I don't have fuzzy warm feelings on S&M, Taly and John atm, they were my core there even though I didn't fully trust any of them.

I never thought I would say this but the best slot to me atm may as well be TGP. omega lol?

(To people not familiar with TGP, he has a VERY HIGH RATE of being scum read as town, and I don't think I've ever had a game where he was in the top of my town reads)

this was true, but once i establish a bit of post-hiatus meta i think it'll become pretty clear that it's not true anymore

before the reroll, as mafia, i was sort of in my initial stages of developing any semblance of strategy so i don't know how much use i'll be on that front. right now, i feel like there's an inordinate amount of focus being placed on the low odds of a Dr. Zenkava investigation: i think it might be better to play this as a normal mafia game with macho indecisive doctors (surgeons) and kind-of detectives (gardeners) where we have the added task of keeping the bug away from mafia hands.

i think the point of plan b is that it'll look atrocious to us but is supposed to be incredibly good. i am completely confident that i cannot read bunno at all, so let me ask this:

bunno, if we chose plan B, and if the mafia team were made up of players with similar mechanical ability to something_smart, and town trusted you completely and did exactly what you said, what is the approximate probability that town wins? can you calculate it?

here's what this does:
if mafia kills bunno, then they avoid killing a more widely townread slot, AND they kill someone who could not have been doctor protected anyway
if mafia RB's bunno, they lose their roleblock
and if they kill someone else and don't rb, then we'll be able to operate on zenkava

@Taly, I will explain this to you in as much detail as possible without actually linking that game because I was playing under an alt.

My buddy player X’s strategy was to set up a tvs read on me and another player, with me being the ”T” but with a possible scumlean on me but a strong sr on the player they were trying to get executed. When they got called out for this being obviously scummy, they changed it to that if that player were to flip town, they’d then possibly consider re-evaluating.

So, I think that TGP either wants to chain mislynches, me Bunno or is possibly buddies with Bunno and distancing him. Rn, I have no idea which but what is very obvious to me is that TGP’s entire play around Bunno has been weird. No one jumped on Bunno’s plan b - without any reservations whatsoever - as eagerly as he did. He and Bunno are both healing Norwee despite Norwee healing Johnny, Bunno has posited TGP as his #1 townread but has Norwee only at a null but is still inexplicable healing him. Both have pushed me and despite Bunno making it abundantly clear in that post Pooky referenced that he very clearly trs our slot, Bunno is still shading us but I still don’t know if it’s because he’s petty town or actual scum but in case his claim is true, I would prefer to give him more time to be sorted. So, I think TGP has been positioning himself around Bunno in a strange way the entire game, so my scumread on him is the stronger one, especially now. I think he’s either buddies with Bunno or PM but until PM posts, I don’t want to have to worry about that yet.

first, my scumlean on bunno was a facade - i townread him, and wanted to give him an opportunity to operate on dr. zenkava, hence why i essentially ignored the possibility of him being scum in my plan. i was trying to paint him as "scummy" because i wanted to discourage the scumteam from killing him. i feel really weird about you scumreading me, saying you don't know whether i'm trying to chain miseliminations on you and bunno or if i'm scum with him, and then you go on to completely ignore the former possibility in favor of the latter. furthermore, the way you say "chain mislims" implies you know that bunno is town, which - considering you scumread them - is ridiculous. i jumped on bunno's plan b because i saw a >7/9 chance of him being town and decided that considering i believed in his mechanical play, that was a risk i was willing to take. i'm continuing to heal norwee bc i hard townread norwee and if anyone gets the bug, i want it to be them. that being said, HEAL: unvote because we need a mechanical nightplan before we give the bug to anyone or lim anyone.

i'm not planning to claim - and my wagon should not nearly be at what it is - until we have some semblance of a nightplan, because there is none at the moment and it's not going to help anyone if we go into the night limming town. VOTE: SM if i wasn't already doing so because this entire fake "case" being made is blatantly scummy play.

post-hiatus, i've changed quite a bit. here's a finished towngame and finished scumgame for your perusal. i definitely enjoy playing scum more, but it doesn't show in my effort and activity any longer - i'm not a great player d1 but after there are some flips i'd like to think i can poe pretty well.

i prefer SM, but herta isn't a terrible compromise elimination. by PoE, with Johnny as confirmed town, we have {bunno, johnny, taly, norwee} as my town reads, a townlean on Taylor, and i'm good executing in {SM, Herta, Bugspray} in that order.

this is the closest thing i have to evidence of my role - before bunno did his whole plan a/b thing, the plan i formulated was to strongly discourage everyone from operating and make sure i didn't draw the nk or rb so i could operate myself and make it a lot easier to reveal.
