Trolling isn't a scum tell. However, in general, I think scum would be more likely to make non-serious statements as it makes it easier for them to brush off any slips.

I disagree with this to be fair. Trolling to me feels more of a town-trait as they don't care how they appear to other players. Scum tend to me more "forced" type posts.

I'm not really fakeclaiming per say. Just fake breadcrumbing and there's a difference between the two. One is detrimental to the town and the second if it's done right indeed helps the town.

Also, RedCoyote, you described Mala's play somewhere as scummy due to being "scatterbrained". Is this different from your experience of how she would play if she were town?

Mala may never again live up to the enormous townmeta bar I have set for her, lol. Seriously though, her play in this game was, without question, the best vigilante play I've seen on this site. That post in particular was sensational. Bear in mind she had just replaced into a 45+ page game. Here's what I said about her at the time,

Get this: she replaces in at night, shoots one scum based on her read of the game, and then hammers the last one in her first post in the game. How's that for efficiency? How many of y'all have seen someone effectively kill two scum in with one post in the game? That's an unheard of level of success.

That said, I'm not much for meta. I'm judging her on her play this game, any meta read I may have of her is just an ancillary factor. I think this whole question of whether or not she faked a softclaim, her argument of the semantics of what she did... this sounds scummy to me. If I'm a townie that's faking a breadcrumb or something of that nature, you better believe I'm going to have a very clear, very straightforward answer for doing it. I think Mala would have as well.

To be fair, I don't know if my play will ever be the level of that play ever again. That game I was a vig for the first time in my life and I did so much reading and analysis before i decided to shoot. I was a vig in another game and did the same so proud to say that I have a 100% accuracy rate as a vig!

Also that was one of my earlier games ish.

The only thing that concerns me is how quickly we're at L-1. It's only a couple of pages into Day 2. Yet, I like all the players on the wagon and really can't see how the stuff Mala's been saying could be coming from town.

Many people haven't played with me enough to say this. I have played with Red/Anti maybe once or twice. Lucky once/twice[?] and wolfy/eno 1**. So none of the players could easily hold the weight of the argument that I'm indecisive as town or scum.

I'm guessing I probably have both scum on my wagon currently. I'm at L-1 with zero counterwagon. so I'm sure this is a scum driven wagon. I'm thinking probably scum-anti-hero driving the train w/ wolfy at the heel. If I'm wrong that both scum aren't on teh wagon than my next best guess is probably Egg.

Wolfy here's a recent game where I attempted to try to crumb cop to draw the NK. It ended up back firing and bringing me to LyLo x2 as confirmed town.

Here's the thing. I had a sligh town read on Insanity, but after the claims and I ISO'd a certain number of players. I found that she had Antihero was a null pretty much Day 1. She then had antihero as town on opening Day 2. She claimed vanilla town, but that change of a read especially after the way te day 1 lynch went down shouldn't have gave antihero a free pass.

It looks like she was crumbing cop of some kind, but when the time came to claim she claimed vanilla.
