If it's not a Scumslip he would only get harder to read as the game goes on because that is not how Town reacts to being potentially Dayvigged. Town reacts like the Mason who just got shot, they go "Bah you're dumb I'm Town" or they keep talking or both. They NEVER fucking say "NICE SHOT".

Uh, wtf. I've PMed the Mod to double-check that no error was made during Night Action interactions but I won't fight claiming first if we're mass claiming.

1. I'm a Town Ascetic, yeah think what you will but it's the best I could get given my cards which were:

Town Godfather, Town 1-Shot Dayvig (discarded), and Ascetic Townie

I chose to mostly disregard Town Godfather since even I have never really understood what it does - I used it for alignment. I discarded 1-Shot Dayvig because I'm not a HUGE fan of the Dayvig role, as I see it as veto power over the Town's lynch target. Obviously in theory there's nothing stopping us from lynching who we want after a Dayvig or threatened Dayvig, but it invariably changes the mindset of players who have one and I didn't want that lens on my play this close to returning from my hiatus. I also didn't want to pick an active role, since I'm barely on-site again as it is and I only come in to check this and a Newbie Game I'm Modding. (Hopefully I'll handle when that activity goes up but for now it hasn't.)

2. I prefer Scum, usually Werewolf / Alien > Mafia in Great/er/est Idea Mafias because they're even MORE fun PR-wise.
3. I ignored you, bald eagle, because I didn't see a case. I saw you drawing kind of loose association via posts made practically in RVS and then you didn't have time to follow up because we had a Dayvig and a lynch. Yeah, I pushed a lynch D1. That's what you're supposed to do. It's Mafia. Anything in particular you wanted me to "follow up" on? Why are you suspicious of me now? Anything other than Rob's claim?

P-EDIT: I have confirmation from the Mod that no Night Action errors took place, and it's literally impossible I visited anybody unless some other PR is involved here or Rob just tried to pull a gambit so I'm not sure how to respond to those accusations.

Also I'll go into detail about this if anybody else wants to try it, but there's a semi-foolproof way to claim successfully in this game type given how the Mod sent out Role PMs. If anybody else can figure it out and / or wants to utilize it here be my guest. As the first forum Mod it was a nightmare for me but I specifically told JerryArr about it pre-game and he seemed unperturbed.

The "cards" given to each player are numbered in our Role PMs, Rob.
There can only be one "card" of each number, irregardless of whichever Role is on said numbered card.

Mods should be explicitly told NOT to provide those numbers, because it provides a situation (albeit a risky one) in which all cards obtained by a player could be semi-verified within a reasonable doubt. The reasonable doubt is if somebody was either extremely savvy or extremely lucky or both and picked the specific number of a specific card that ---

A: fit into whatever fake claim they were attempting to produce AND
B: did not directly conflict with the numbered card somebody else got OR
C: did not directly conflict with the numbered card somebody else tried to use for a fake claim

...which admittedly doesn't require TOO much luck, but it makes Roleclaiming a bit more of a locked procedure for Scum and bit more of an obvious-tell for Town.

Consider that M, Maru, and I played Minecraft together in a very active subcommunity within Mafiascum for over a year. We all know each other fairly well and are used to talking regularly on IRC. Communication between the two, at least what you saw, is null.

Also everybody who talk about "association" tells can go eat a dick because knowing somebody outside of a game in as major a context as the three of us do will OF COURSE change how you interact with a person so if that's all you're going on I'm sad for you and your horrible skills.

I assume that's how it's done because that's 100% how it SHOULD be done. The original way the Roles were given out was a physical deck of cards - no fucking duplicates in a physical deck of cards. I'd be VERY pissed if the Mod distributed Roles randomly allowing for duplicates and I will never play in an Idea game that is generated that way. I'm legitimately pissed that's a thing and we can talk about this more in Endgame, but the whole FUCKING POINT of the Great/er/est Ideas is that they allow for some semblance of WIFOM in the form of a fixed number of Roles / certain unique Roles so that Roleclaiming isn't just a wanton clusterfuck.

A lot of this game was meScum having a huge advantage purely because I got to make authentic posts and reactions.

FOR INSTANCE, yes the Mod forgot to send me my Role PM...so I had no idea I had a partner until Night 1...so everything I said D1 was an authentic post with me in the mindset of (basically) a Serial Killer who just happened to know there were no Werewolves in the game. Yes, Rob, you seeing my authentic reactions to being "targeted" as an actual Ascetic was helpful, and you Towntunneling me was a godsend and probably helped us win, but as soon as I figured out you were onto Maru I WOULD'VE voted him (I have a history of hardbussing teammates) except I knew after NM's claim and subsequently not-looking-Town-at-all that I could convince you he was the better lynch.
