Chestnut Lodge, Monday 13th April, 3.30pm. A comfortable, sunny afternoon at the UK Scummers meet. A couple of people have gone for a walk, most are lolling around in the sofa area of Chestnut Lodge. Patrick, bored, reaches for the Greater Idea deck to make a setup. It would be fun to watch Porochaz, CDB and Shanba for a few minutes playing a 3p setup without scum. "Deal me in!" says Primate. "Me too! I'm awesome at bussing" declares Nexus. "I'd like to play too. Actually, CES and I should hydra!" Elmo, inspie and AurorusVox seem interested too. "You guys want to play that 9p setup with only 2 townies? Jungle of.." "No." "OK, OK. Real setup incoming."

Standard Rules

1.) This game is a day start. Day 1 will start when everyone has confirmed by PM.
2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes should be in the form

, but I'll count votes if the intention is clear and there's bolding/some attempt at bolding. Unvotes before registering a new vote are helpful but not required. Note that any attempts at fake votes will be frowned on, and most likely counted anyway. Don't try it.
3.) When a player reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their alignment, and the game will move into night. Players can still talk during twilight.
4.) All days have automatic 2 week deadlines. These won't be extended unless the site goes down. No majority at deadline means no lynch.
5.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread, unless your role permits it.
6.) Once dead, you stop posting. A bah post is fine though.
7.) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
8.) Anyone not posting for 48 hours is proddable, though I'll sometimes wait until 72 hours depending on circumstances. Players who fail to post promptly after being prodded may be replaced. I also reserve the right to replace people who are within activity limits but who are trying to find loopholes, but that's only for extreme circumstances and I hope not to have to use it.
9.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time. Disappointingly, I may make mistakes. Point them out very gently.
10.) Avoid excessive profanity, flaming etc.
11.) Don't quote any PMs from me. Don't try to break the game using cryptography.
12.) Have fun!

Notes for this game

This game will take roles only from the Greater Idea deck, as it exists now. All of you know what it is, but as a reminder, here is a link to the wiki page containing all possible roles:

Greater Idea Mafia

Any of the roles could exist in the game, including the Replicant faction. The only role definitely not in the game is 146, the Wildcard, for obvious reasons.

A role can only appear as many times as it exists in the deck; you could not, for example, have 5 conspiracy theorists.

Although this game uses the deck, it is not a game of Greater Idea Mafia, and all roles were chosen by me.

Games using this deck tend to throw up queries from time to time. Players should of course feel free to ask anything they want about how certain roles or interactions would work, but I'd prefer that people only ask things for a specific reason, rather than idle curiosity. I'm sure that possible clarifications on this deck could fill an entire encyclopedia if we wanted them to.

This game is guaranteed to contain at least one scum. Players may vote for Leap of Faith for their own entertainment, but the vote won't be counted.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped me by replacing into this game. I may have skimped on town power a bit too much, but I doubt the balance was far off what it needed to be. I think in retrospect I'd give town a little more and let scum daytalk.
