So.
@Hito, I don't vote much. It's not unknown for me not to vote at all until a couple of days into the game.
My read on Nexus is that he's town and I think your point against him is one of those silly ones that's technically true but misses obvious context. I think your point on shanba is good.
re: AV. #161 is a fairly unambigous claim, imho. It's unfortunate that both of the really good breadcrumbs came after he was at -1 and had been asked to claim anyway, and I think it's a stretch to say he clearly claimed in #27, and "Only town" is a stretch. But then would he be falseclaiming mason? Probably the most sensible assumption is that he is a mason and just overegged it a bit. I know that the setup of this game is what it is, but a single mason? Anyway. I don't think this necessarily means too much with regard to town or not. It's probably mildly town, just on numbers, but werewolves exist.
I just reread, mostly with a mind towards second-guessing myself and decided if poro was worth me switching off AV for, as he's there, and I still don't really think Poro is scum. On the flipside, there was really nothing in AVs posting that gave me any kind of major towntells, so I think I'm fairly happy with lynching AV.
I'll hammer just before I leave work in a couple of hours. I don't think we're waiting on anything.-

umm when you have, by your own admission, a ton of other scum reads? Yeah it'd be bad form! policy lynch lurksacks if you don't have anyone pretty to take to the ball, but this doesn't really read like someone drowning in scum reads.
WRT to Swagger tell, is that a thing? Seems like it would be heavily reliant on the player in question.-

swagger tell is when someone responds to suspicion with "you won't be ABLE to lynch me", instead of regret that the vote is in play on the wrong person or analyzing the problems with the vote. Essentially even when you are correct that someone is low-capital enough that they cannot get you lynched, focusing on that instead of motivation is sketch
but yes, in this context it's less strong than usual because poro voted nexus right after nexus voted poro
hey Primate, what IS that obvious context w/r/t Nexus's comments about lynching my slot?"Don’t buy a dozen eggs if you just want a hardboiled egg. Don’t buy a head of lettuce if you just want a salad. Don’t buy eggs and lettuce if you want egg salad because those are not the right ingredients." -Julius Bloop-

Sure, so it's a kind of ad hom, attack the person, not the argument. Makes sense. Yeah, I can see that, that and your reasoning why it means less, but, yeah, I get why that's scummy.
The obvious context wrt to Insp/you, is that we were one day from deadline with a blank spot in need of replacement. The right call was made by pat in extending the deadline, but I think it was reasonable enough to put that topic out for discussion in case pat didn't. I guess I mainly think you're wrong to see it as potential scum attempt to leverage the situation, and I feel it makes more sense as just a comment thrown out to help the mod and game respond to the situation.

So I don't think I'm helping town much except insofar as not being scum. I'm mildly more interested in seeing Nexus lynched than I was before due to the idea that scum could quickhammer Poro - this isn't something I think townNexus would be worried about? I don't know, it's kinda skeevy since I was the one who invited him to talk about scum quickhammering but that was kinda the point...
I don't know much about Poro anymore either. Like he had done what was at that time the scummiest thing. And then he kinda faded into the background.
I think it's safe to say Hito is town and Fen's worry that Hito is just goodScum is interesting - in my warped and twisted world view where the hydra is potentially scum then this looks like keeping the avenues open. But much like my earlier "tryhard" train of thought I think such ideas are grossly off-course.
Before I die, the scum ratings would be:
Poro/Nexus SCUM
FenCES TINFOIL SCUM
CDB/Shanba/Elmo NULL

When I've got a wagon on scum and someone ON the wagon flakes, I fucking love it. "Hey guys, the only way this vote gets in play today is if they're voting my suspect...I guess we're lynching them." Why would Nexus want to suddenly derail his own wagon in order to essentially policy lynch someone who's ALSO on his wagon? Why not just necromancer use that vote to get the Poro lynch done? This works BETTER, not worse, if the slot remains flaked and Pat doesn't extend the deadline.
AV's got a good point that Primate not hammering him is kind of sketch (but AV has him as a town read?) Not sure how to read it. Ultimately some of the wagonflow around AV is also sketchy - not as confident on this as I'd like to be, but it's still the best move.
Hammering at 50 past the hour, last thoughts if you got 'em."Don’t buy a dozen eggs if you just want a hardboiled egg. Don’t buy a head of lettuce if you just want a salad. Don’t buy eggs and lettuce if you want egg salad because those are not the right ingredients." -Julius Bloop-

We're out this evening so I can't add more than I have done, just logged on in case there was a flip.
Please can someone make sure they hammer before deadline?

If I'm gone tomorrow, don't let Nexus/Shanba fall under the radar. Not saying I have them as a lock for scum or anything; just that that's where my pressure would be going if we had a week more. Also Primate's recent behavior w/r/t his Nexus read and him not hammering AV is strange."Don’t buy a dozen eggs if you just want a hardboiled egg. Don’t buy a head of lettuce if you just want a salad. Don’t buy eggs and lettuce if you want egg salad because those are not the right ingredients." -Julius Bloop-

actually, if AV flips scum, Shanba looks pretty good - my suspicion on Shanba is mostly due to his post making me second-guess the AV lynch in the first place
I'd want to dig in to Nexus/Primate regardless of AV flip. Well, I guess because it's virtually guaranteed to be two scum, an AV scumflip helps Primate just in the sense that he can't then be Nexus's scumbuddy, and I think a lot of my uneasy feeling on Primate is the Primate <--> Nexus connection"Don’t buy a dozen eggs if you just want a hardboiled egg. Don’t buy a head of lettuce if you just want a salad. Don’t buy eggs and lettuce if you want egg salad because those are not the right ingredients." -Julius Bloop-

To belatedly reply to hito's shit - the read is accurate. I didn't feel a strong preference. It would not shock me if prozac flipped town too, though I still think he's the most likely scum.
Ok, need to reread I think. Let me get to this properly tomorrow evening.(10:50:24 PM) xcaykex: GODDAMNIT I DONT WANNA GET RID OF MY TENTACLE RAPE PORN

The hitokill put me off a little too at first, although in re-reading he probably was contributing a bit more than us by the end of the Day. It does make me worry a little about Shanba and Primate even though I think their posting has generally been town-sounding (but also both did seem to avoid making an impact on the D1 lynch in one way or another).
Bleh, the game feels much more intractable now after two town flips.
I suspect this is still the right vote:
Vote: Porochaz

I'm pretty unenthusiastic about Prozac's wagon. I don't think he's super townish, but by now I'm unironically more suspicious of Nexus for pushing it this hard.
CDB, specifically, you voted AV because you thought Prozac looked fairly town; what do you think about Shanba, and his reasons in #104? In retrospect, I would've expected you to press him on that.
I think Shanba is townish but I don't really know how to read Nexus or Primate. I guess I'll reread them again tomorrow!Succinctness is pro-town.

I'm rereading some of the end of Day 1 that I mostly missed (apologies for that 'n' stuff). Hito kill strikes me as odd; I might have been prepared to go after him for some of his AV push. I guess scum were pushing for activity kills and, if they were, I would have thought that Ampersand were a more obvtown option.
This could get invalided next post I read but wanted to post it so it's obvious that I'm not just dodging tonight.#greenshirtthursdays-

OK, caught up now. Follow-up to previous post: I think hito dying over Ampersand might make a bit more sense if Shanba is scum.
In post 220, Elmo wrote:CDB, specifically, you voted AV because you thought Prozac looked fairly town; what do you think about Shanba, and his reasons in #104? In retrospect, I would've expected you to press him on that.
I found Shanba's #104 re: Prozac pretty dry and uninteresting; it certainly didn't do anything to persuade me at the time. Now I'm rereading it just after thinking 'I wonder if hito was right about Shanba' so there's a bit of bias coming into the read, but it does feel a little like motions are being gone through. It's not obvious why Shanba seems to frame it as if he must choose between Nexus and Prozac right now. His reasons for the Prozac vote are ... yeah, dry. Like, he's pointing out behaviour that is not what anyone would call ideal, I guess, but I don't really feel like it's anything out of the ordinary.
VOTE: Shanba
I still think that Nexus is town. Ampersand and Primate are also pretty strong townreads. Shanba + one of Elmo/Prozac? Maybe. I'm probably going to concentrate on getting one before I start worrying about partners too much.#greenshirtthursdays-

So, I'm making a post, but in this case, it's to clarify a thing, but I need to reread, and it's mostly because I've just been prodded and need to post post post. What happened at the end of yesterday, and why I didn't hammer. The gist is that I thought the conversation wasn't over yet and I didn't clarify properly. Friday is board games night at my house, so I couldn't actually make any proper posts because I have guests, but I have no issue with slipping away for a minute and seeing what's going on, and potentially hammering if hito didn't like he said he would be able to.
Lynch me if I don't express the thoughts of my reread tomorrow properly though, I appreciate it's a bit beyond a joke.
