drmyshottyizsik has been banned for 3 days for using language that uses race, gender, sexual orientation or disability to insult or offend.

Albert B. Rampage has been banned from joining any new games for three weeks for repeated harrassment of other players, and promoting the discussion of a site ban. He does not need to be replaced in any games.

Frozen Angel has been banned from all mafia games for three weeks for talking about ongoing games outside the game thread and for continued abusive behaviour. She must be replaced in any game she is currently in, including as a hydra.

Pisskop has been banned from all mafia games for two weeks for talking about ongoing games outside the game thread and for abusive behavior. He must be replaced in any games he is currently in, including as a hydra.

BROseidon has been banned from joining new games for one week following abusive posts made in a game.

vonflare has been banned for 1 week from Discussion forums and site chat for baiting and trolling another user both in site chat and by PM, as well as encouraging others to troll the user.

Garmr has been banned from all mafia games for 2 months for repeated abusive posting, such as here and here. He will need to be replaced in all games he is currently in, including alts and hydras.

Flubbernugget has been banned from joining any new games for two months due to posting pornographic images in a game.

drmyshottyizsik has been banned from discussion forums for 2 weeks for ban evasion in the Title Fairy thread.

Firebringer has been banned from discussion forums for 2 weeks for ban evasion in the Title Fairy thread.

SethYazura has been banned from joining new games for two weeks for using violent sexualized language against another site user in a mafia game. Also worth noting is use of ableist language in the same game, which would have merited a warning on its own.

Majiffy is now unbanned from playing Mafia games. He is limited to playing in two games in the first month of his ban being removed. He has also been informed that any actions against him, even fairly minor ones, will result in his return to the indefinite ban list.

SethYazura has been banned from all mafia games for a further two weeks for using violent sexualized language against another site user in a mafia game directly after a previous ban. He will need to be replaced in all games he is currently alive in.

OceanWind has been banned permanently for being the alt of a previously banned user (F-16_Fighting_Falcon). Any games he is currently in will need to find a replacement.

ShadyHood has been banned from all Mafia games for one month for deliberately breaking the rules against contacting a player outside of the game and trying to hide it. He needs to be replaced in all games he is currently alive in.

Kappy has been banned from Site Chat for 7 days for spam.

Drmyshottyizsik has received multiple warnings and multiple recent bans for breaking site rules. A ban serves the purpose of having users not engage in continuous patterns of behavior that break site rules once the ban is lifted. It isn't lightly that we enact longer bans, but we consider the following rule-breaking behaviors to merit a longer ban:

General Site Rules - Basic Conduct - Rules 1 & 2:

1. Do not make any post or start any thread with the intent to insult or offend any other user on this site.

2. Do not make any post or start any thread that abuses or harasses another user.

Drmyshottyizsik made a thread titled "Kublai Khan" with the intent of harassing the user and encouraging others to do the same. Users are allowed to critique behavior and decisions specific to the role of a moderator, but opening a thread asking for open-ended thoughts about a user and then saying the user is "in a mood today" is not a mod-specific complaint, it is an attempt to generally harass a user, which is against site rules. Being a moderator doesn't open the floor to the moderator being personally harassed.

Testing the boundaries of the rules to see what you can get away with will likely result in moderator action.

Encouraging other users to engage in banworthy behavior qualifies as testing the boundaries of site rules. This is clearly inappropriate behavior.

General Site Rules - Specific Conduct - Rule 8:

Other content may be inappropriate and will be acted on at the discretion of the moderators.

Reopening a thread after a moderator has locked it, as linked in the prior spoiler, is also clearly inappropriate behavior.

Finally, Drmyshottyizsik has PM'd users falsely suggesting that once he buys the Mafiascum site from mith he will ban them. This sets up a false sense of authority and leads users to falsely believe Drmyshottyizsik will soon have power to punish them, which can deter users from posting normally or feeling comfortable on the site.

Axxle has been indefinitely banned. We have multiple reports of two different situations where he attempted to engage in sexual behavior with women from mafiascum without their consent. To be clear, these reports do not involve the most recent meetups, but I have only become aware of this activity now.

Killthestory has been banned from joining new games for two weeks for not reading his role pm and for a pattern of abusive behavior.

Flubbernugget has been banned for 2 weeks from Discussion Forums, with removal of Speakeasy access, for creating a thread in Speakeasy linking to an unspoilered page (now edited out from the original post) with a gory image and pornographic text.

Universal Site Rules - Prohibited Actions - Rule 6:

Posting particularly gory or otherwise disturbing images (at the discretion of the forum moderators) - Links to such material should include an appropriate warning (NSFW, for example) and should be spoilered.

Long term Discussion bans will now result in loss of read access to the relevant forums for that period (shorter term bans will retain read access). Users will still be able to read Help, Site Ideas, News, etc.

EDIT: The change has been reverted for General Discussion (guests can access that area anyway), but currently remains for Speakeasy and GTKAS.

As a reminder, experienced players are not allowed to /in for fresh newbie slots under an alt. It is also the user's responsibility to read the terms of a ban carefully, so claiming ignorance is not an excuse for ban evasion.

Davsto and Thestatusquo have been banned from Site Chat for two weeks due to abusive language directed at another user and refusing to stop after repeated warnings.
