Monk base saves are +2 on all saves at lv 1, not all +0s.

For cross-class skills, you putting 1 skill point in them only gets you 1/2 rank.

Monks start with 12.5 gp. How did you end up with 22.5 gp after buying things!?!?!

Somebody more knowledgeable can correct me, but think it works as follows:

you get 28 skill points (6+INT)x4. For class skills, you get one rank per skill point you spend, which increases your modifier when you roll skill checks. For cross-class skills (things that don't naturally fit in with your class) you get 1 rank for every 2 skill points you spend.

does that make more sense?

hrm. I would have a 0 WIS mod if I stay a lycanthrope - it will be quite a few levels until I'm able to reliably control my transformations, and I will never be able to control the DC 25 ones until I'm level 11 or so (since I only get 1 skill point / level cause my INT is so low) and being in full animal form is definitively the weakest for me - and since I'm a frontliner, I'll be a rat a LOT. That will reduce my effectiveness significantly, I think.

So the biggest issue would be the first full moon - how are you keeping time in-game? Will full moon affect me if I'm underground / in a dungeon?

Oof. I guess the issue is the taking damage swapping me into animal form - a 1d6 is a big nerf from 1d12+2, particularly since I'm intended to be a meatshield and take damage. Hrm.

I will get an extra +2 in AC which will put me at 21, so a lot of things will have a hard time hitting me anyway, but the things that DO hit me...


AGH THIS DECISION IS HARD

I guess I am still a pretty effective meatshield in rat form, even though I won't be able to deal quite as much damage - I'll still have a pretty massive strength modifier when raging, plus the ability to use power attack - I won't be unable to deal damage by any means.


Just to be sure - do I lose any abilities / feats / skills / etc other than using my greataxe when I'm in animal form?

it's difficult to say what Mo'ak would do in character - he's not particularly bright, of course. the strategic intricacies would not matter so much to him - but I also don't think he'd care too much about being discriminated against (he's a half-orc, it's part of life), nor is he worried about making anyone a lycanthrope (if he bites anyone, they're gonna die before it matters). He would be scared about losing control during the first full moon, but if knowledgeable people tell him that it would only happen once, and he and others around him would be safe, I think he would be ok with it - but if people he respect (read: mostly Teela at this point) argue strongly the other way, he's likely to pay attention to them.

for what it's worth, for anyone using macros: the crit damage calculation is incorrect on the default macro. It's adding non-roll damage, then rolling a d6 in addition, rather than simply doubling the previous damage value. FG and I just had a long conversation about it and he's going to see if I can find anyone who's come up with a solution, but it looks to me like it's a rules modification to work around a code language limitation (the limitation being that it can't pull calculated values).

we killed some goblins tonight

We are a group who are all currently level 2. I'm a dwarven druid, singer is an elven cleric, notsci is a human monk, and fro99er is a human wizard. Yesterday's session had us tracking a goblin we'd wounded badly back to his camp. We ran into some wild wolves on the way and defeated them without too much trouble. We then got to the camp - I had my animal companion spider do some scouting - he eventually got seen and that began an encounter that ultimately had us vs. 4 goblins, a hobgoblin, and a hobgoblin mage. My spider and the monk both got knocked unconscious near the end, BUT WE GOT EM ALL. We killed them and burned down the camp. VERY EXCITING.

General gist:

We were resting after being hired to fight off the bandits. In the middle of the night, Ivan woke Teela to ask her to help with Isana, who had come down with some sort of disease. It was determined to be caused by necromancy, and Ivan was going to go visit some sort of powerful individual deep within the mines to ask or bargain for help. (This information was given to him by his pet / familiar, a rat named Cheese.) Teela and Mo'ak went with him, with basically no spells and no rage available. Upon arriving, they found a sarcophagus. Ivan asked for help, and was offered "anything you want if you open the sarcophagus." After brief conversation, he opened it. A woman appeared and bit him, but Mo'ak was able to pull him from her grasp, and the three of them raced out of the mines. The woman did not pursue. Ivan was injured and cursed.

After getting some rest, the party set off to try to take down the bandits. Thanks to a couple of tangle spells from No One and Teela use resist energy (fire) and Shield Other on Isabella, the group was able to dispatch the bandits (and their pet murderplant) without too many issues. Lots of shit got found, as posted previously. We collected our massive amounts of gold, and called it a night.

You've put your spells in the Feats and Special Abilities section - I'd move them a couple pages down to the Spells and Powers section.

Also, as a cleric, you can replace any prepared spell with a Cure spell of equivalent level - so I wouldn't prepare a Cure spell.
