"something for everyone" sure. but it's not balanced. not close even. and the lack of AD in the runes is extraordinarily punishing as an ad if you get behind

vayne, too. good lord the vaynes ive seen today.
I think the only group that probably gets hit hard is junglers because they don't have a great jungle-specific rune
Adc feels more snowbally because of the lack of free damage you get. Once you're behind I feel like you stay behind unless you flame horizon the guy that gets ahead of you, which is very hard because CSing under tower feels so much harder when you're under.

I don't. I play solely to win. Winning is fun, losing sucks. Losing because a major system has been tweaked sucks. Playing normals and not getting rewarded sucks, which makes losing triple suck cause you gotta play more games. I don't want my competitive game to be "quirky or wonky". I want to be able to be able to effect them game in a way that is equal to other players, not be left behind because of system changes, so then when I cause my team to lose it really sucks but I can at least learn and become better instead of like "should of played an assassin."
And yeah, they are gonna tweak this system. Yeah, it'll get balanced and toyed with and perfected over the course of the year(and years to come) and it'll become a system that(along with giving more than ~80 ip a game) will make the game easier for new players to get into. But yo, I don't play the pbe because I don't want to beta test this shit, so like don't make me beta test this shit? I don't want a month of league of cleavers, ya know?

Idk, it's just a ridiculous statement to me. "You can have fun even if you're behind". No. You can't. The game is designed so losing fucking sucks and being far behind is not fun. It's very hard to "have fun" if 5 kill - was gonna say zed but it's kind of a 5 kill anybody - comes and kills you before you can really react (or despite reacting because he is strong and you are weak). Which I think is a totally fine mechanic and the entire genre is pretty much predicated on snowballing a lead, basically. And I honestly think that's what actually drives people to become better at the game, that futility of being the losing side and a thrill of being able to comeback despite the game being designed to crush you when you're behind. It's just too much right now. Prior to the change, ADCs - every single one - took 7% armor pen and the AD per lvl masteries. That's gone, so even for an adc, not being able to buy an on time bf sword is gonna start making last hitting under tower a giant struggle and I can really imagine how AP guys are last hitting when behind unless it's "use the mana ring rune and spam your moves situation".

Klepto Ez is very fun, especially when you have like 3 elixirs on you. And sometimes you get a 110 gold just for landing q. It's nice. Bankplank is probably great fun too. I honestly expect klepto to get taken down several notches.

Surprised brand isn't up seeing as I'd assume the reasons all the others are up is the same reason sona is: every carry lost 13 MR and Summon:Aery is strong.

Oh, apparently Quinn is in the ADC ranks for the first time in like two years. I thought press seemed stronger than tempo when reading but not this much. Tempo is basically ashe only

You don't have to buy pages tho. Just make the pre-game if you're worried about it, or just play a champ you have a rune page for until you can log out and check it out of queue.

if someone's gonna build zhonyas, isn't it insane not to take it?
(i suppose you can argue a rune that gets you more kills on average or just control over the game/lane might pay off more)
EDIT: it seems that if you get stopwatch through the rune, it actually costs an extra 300g to upgrade it to zhonyas; that changes the math quite a bit, though the item cooldown reduction shouldn't be ignored either
this same logic is why i've been contemplating taking magic feet on all my carries. I don't typically buy boots 1 that early unless i'm against brand or lux, but giving up the red damage is real tough right now. Like the requirements are like "can't use cheap shots, sudden impact, or ravenous hunter and is safe enough to not have to use feast". So Ezreal.

I think magic feet is closer to 4 tbh. Cause it's 350 straight up + the value of 10 movement speed.
edit: 1 ms is worth about 12g. So Magic Feet essentially gives you 470 gold worth of value.
Biscuits gives you 224g of stats(the mana) and idfk how to calculate the worth of the biscuit itself cause it straight doesn't translate to Health Pots.

Yeah that was basically the only thing I thought of. On a guy like Ivern or something. Go Blue Green or something. Take exhaust when Objectives aren't up and take smite when you need it.

I just think you're crazy for trying to play a supporting style and out macro opponents at silver 3 instead of just hammering nails. If your smart enough to know how to win and cunning enough to convince your stupid team to do the right thing than you're probably smart enough to just pick xin/shyvana kill the idiots and your team will follow up simply because you're a 8 kill bruiser that's king of the game.

I feel like Shyvana is just a more proactive Ivern. She clears the jungle very fast, can take enemy camps, is tough to take down while having a haste and a jump, she doesn't have defensive abilities but she can beat up the enemy and not take too much of a beating because of all the free stats and that opens up teammates to get their shit in. If you can gank with ivern, you can gank with Shyvana. Just use the same ward/ward removal strats cause she has a lot of free time just as ivern does. She can also solo take objectives so when you see a gank top you can roll into dragon without calling for help.

Also being on someone like her or Hecarim can give you the guts to make plays because of their survivability. It's weird to me that Wukong and Kled are people you think are in your wheel house because they are some of the most aggressive dive champs in the game(Kled is incredibly durable tho if you can figure out how he works - I can't).

I can't help you with aesthetics or with what champions speak to you and which don't; I can only tell you how I think is the best way to win and that is to be as versatile and self-sufficient as possible without having to rely on incredibly high execution. Ivern, to me, is not self-sufficient. I can not speak to his versatility because I have never played him and am not nearly as familiar with him as you are.

They don't want high elo guys ruining their esports simulation mode and taking all the prizes, especially because you're gonna have to put in money/blue dust in order to participate.
Smurfing in solo Q fine, Smurfing in Clash not fine, basically.

Sort of? It's still 3 stacks but once guinsoo's is fully stacked it procs on-hit abilities twice on every other shot. Silver bolts are an on hit effect. So you get 3 rings in 2 shots after you have 6 stacks.

s1 is bad yeah. s3 isn't great but you get some players who want to improve but are chill.
generally players at s3 aren't great but i've made some good friends there
s1 is def the worst
The issue with s3 that I find so amazingly toxic is that because that's where most new players get dumped at mid year after promos the variance is just so amazingly high and that leads to huge crazy blow outs which -in my experience- is when people are most toxic, so while individual instances of bad behavior may be more severe in other places (typically on the huge of tiers, so x1), the amount of blow outs that seem to happen in that section of the ladder means you're just getting it every single game, win or lose l, when in other places it seems to be more spectacular instances
