Hey guys, fuck! I think I messed up by doing the kill, I was under much less suspicion than Bella. Aero, who did the other scum team kill? It's early and I'm obviously missing something super obvious because I can't work out what happened N1.

We were hoping the other scum team would take the obvious kill and kill the protective role (you) which would open us up to be able to kill Thor. Given we were reasonably sure he was going to cop me, it was our best shot at survival.

I'm trying to sort through what BBT's flip tells me about Bella. He listed her as maybe scum but ignored all pushes on her, and kept trying to get me to vote Thor instead.
That's normally how I defend my scumbros when I roll mafia. "Yeah, X is scummy, but Y is scummier!" and there's always another Y. I look good if X ever dies, X looks good if I die, but I never have to actually help get rid of them. Probably best to pull the BBT-factor out and just consider actions in vacuum.

Her scum lists look bad in light of the flips. Most of her cases and votes were on townies / people that in light of flip are highly likely to be not-mafia-with-bbt: Plot, Thor, Lapsa, Abuse / Titus, me. Still thinking through her Pers read. Pers' behavior today is throwing me a bit even though I had a really towny read on Dino earlier. But BBT was trying to undermine my town read on Pers late in the day, so I'm going around in circles on that one.

Zoro is on fire this game.

Thor is remarkable as scum. I've played with him twice when we were both scum and some of the stuff he comes up with is genius. He can talk himself out of almost anything, really.

I once played a game where the scum team was Me, Thor, Titus. It was glorious.

Yeah, Thor is really difficult to play against as either alignment. I initially planned to ignore Thor because I was worried he would figure out I was scum. But a couple of things changed and I started to think he really was scum. In hindsight, I should have left it alone, lynched a townie and killed Thor.

It still seems unlikely that Thor was scum with BBT. That was some pretty good theater if it was a scum vs scum interaction. I don't believe that to be the case.

Maybe he's the one who killed BBT.

Exactly, I wouldn't say there is a 'set time' when these things need to happen but there definitely needs to be a balance.

I usually think around 20-25 pages in 9-13 player games are enough for D1. Around 15 pages you need to start consolidating and looking to push wagons/get claims.

When D1 hits like 40 pages I literally don't give a shit about the game anymore because I know I'm never gonna reread all of it.
