Anyway, I stand by my statement, just as nobody that gives a shit about college basketball wants to see loyola in the final 4, nobody that gives a shit about pro league wants to see b-rate western teams play in knockouts. The meta has finally shifted toward random as fuck outcomes and now we get bad league games at worlds and not just in the NA playoffs.
i'm not entirely sure if you are watching the same games as me.
You are also the first one i hear this sentiment from, and i've talked with a lot of people about this.

Cause everyone loves the billion fight meta. And it's boring af. 0 individual skill expression, 0 macro.
still don't think hjarnan is some god adc like he's being hyped to be. he's better than he was before, but i still see him trip over himself when kiting, missing autos.
i do think he's the best carry g2 could have gotten, though. you need a counterweight from the aggression. a patient player in the 3 in the 1-3-1.
this series said more about uzi's skill level than hjarnan's. needs lucian to beat hjarnan. jackeylove is behaving more like the 2013-2014 finals uzi that would jump into a fight and completely change the expected outcome.
g2 wins depsite hjarnan other than heimer. Good KDA aside.
Anyway, g2 outplayed RNG. Perkz is really good and Wunder has performed well, and their split push style allows that to work well. Hjarnan getting forced onto Jhin made their life harder. But they still outperformed RNG. Hard to argue with that, really. I don't understand Panzer's crying about it.
I suppose I was overrating AFs. They're at this tournament because they made it to finals twice. C9 is comparable in that they made it to summer finals.
Second seed from Korea used to mean something. AFs has good players. I mean, at least Kiin, Mowgli, and Kramer are all solid. Something is wrong with this team, and it isn't carrying the weight top class Korean teams typically do.
I expect Mowgli to play the rest of the games. He had a good showing in group stage and I felt he was better than Spirit.
Feel like AFs could have committed to the Kassadin hover. Ryze v Aatrox wouldn't be fun, but Graves was drafted to help exploit Braum. So, Graves should naturally gravitate botside.
I don't think Viktor was doing anything for the team, but overall the draft has improved from game 1 with key steals. Jensen dropping down to Ahri is pretty sad. Too slothful to play Ekko. Too proud to play Malzahar. I want C9 to lose for this alone.
Three threat comps used to be the gold standard that teams like vintage OMG and Tigers used to perfect. SKT took it further with four threats, but failed to make it work.
C9 has a sleeper fourth threat they never let people see. Sven is a monster.
