I'm suggesting otherwise.
towniest person shooting means the godfather can't just be all goody two shoes, and having a good player that already looks town confirmed is better than having a mislynch bait being confirmed cos they're just have bad reads too. Finally, if the towniest player is actually scum, we catch them and they can't influence the game further

Not really, if you let the best player get the shot in then you lose the possibility of clearing out a scummy player and mislynching them. If a scum is being townread then we can sort that out. if town is being scumread he gets mislynchrd.
