because even yesterday nom was willing to lynch basically anyone aside from herself, including encouraging a 1v1 between two of her town reads, and assuming that scum are actively sabotaging their chances of winning by giving town free vig shots instead of playing intelligently seems impossibly naive.

I will admit, this had given me pause before. Because it does seem odd and somewhat stupid to give this line of reasoning. However, it isn't possible with the way this game has gone. Plus, I don't think nom herself takes the line she does as scum here.

I'm probably biased in that I'm scumreading you already but I frankly hate the idea that the 'smart' choice when we'd already be on the brink of losing the game is by not even trying to use what may very well be the only actual power role town gets sole control over in the game. I admittedly haven't done the math on shooting anyone but it just feels like giving up to avoid being blamed for something potentially going wrong instead of actually taking a risk to win the game.

Also @dave. You should consider claiming your action I'm case you die tonight. An Ank flip will force the doctors to choose between protecting you and A50. I'd rather keep the decision unknown to the full group in a potential effort to confuse scum.

If you are still opposed to a full claim, I propose you at least soft claim in the following way:
"If I watched last night, I targeted X and got Y result" in addition to "if I tracked last night, I targeted X and got Y result"

It hit me that I missed something really obvious that explains the gamestate just as easily

No shit the gamestate is like this if all the attention is on the all town hoods

The night actions of the commute and doctor hood make sense as all town
Revealing my neighborhood makes sense
Removing FB was to add more tension onto nom and remove the commute
Me + EP is a distraction, nom is a distraction

Ank was/is the only other significant wagon.
I'd be in favor of DEB but that isn't going anywhere.
Someone reminded me that Panth has been useless, and my vote there resulted in a not very interesting read list.
I would not be surprised by both FB and Nom scum, splitting their hood in hopes that one scum flip will result in the other looking town.

See? THAT is the problem with most players nowadays. You should know better than to "feel" rather than "calculate" (with you being an older generation player).

When I play this game I try to use

my brain

much more than "my heart & gut".

Assuming 4 Scums (worst case scenario) we are 8-4 now, and with a mislynch (Ank flipping Town) we'd enter the night as 7-4. Now Scum are going to kill someone, so it's basically MyLo tomorrow. Tell me why I should make it LyLo instead.

Now assume 3 Scums,, so we are 9-3. A mislynch brings it down to 8-3 and with a Scum NK it'd be 7-3. Lynch nom, she flips green and her shot lands on another Townie, and we would be at 5-3 going into the next night, meaning it's LyLo the day after tomorrow. Now -again- explain to me why I should make the game end in that night instead with a bad Vig shot.

So, if we do lynch Ank and she flips Town the best thing to do is sit on my Vig shot. I either eat a bullet at night (and then won't care much what people decide to do) or I am alive still and the Vig shot isn't going anywhere (i.e. I may decide to actually take the risk and shoot someone the next night).

For the bolded, you may want to have a discussion with mastina about the whole principle post-game.

For the underlined, because we have yet to have a single Scum flip, so I can't tell who's Scum and who's "scummy Town".
