(As a wolf, I'd absolutely be using the chat to try to pocket a town Tris. I used to play a lot of social games involving manipulation in a one-on-one setting and am pretty confident in my ability to successfully do so. But that's obviously WIFOM now that I've said it out loud, so feel free to ignore this entire parenthetical lol)

- townlean on Hayasaka, her panic over possibly-gladiating Kaname sounds genuine
- agree with Cakes on not liking pooky's vote on prune after the joke had, like, already ended
- I like kaname's vote/opinion on dr. pepper; townlean on kaname as well.

Also, I understand why people would town read tris, at least after where I was in my catchup when I made that post which is why I wasn't going to bring it up quite yet. The main point from my initial post regarding Tris was the timing of whoever said they were townie vibes, because that came before I started to be able to see some town sides in Tris, but then we got positioned onto tris moreso than my actual questioning of this

Interesting, I kinda got off vibes from tris from their acknowledgement of me. Albeit true, it feels like they were setting up a

, a fact and comment that is used to support a gamestate world where certain things get pushed into a narrative fact.

While I do have a strong presence in games, I found it odd for Tris to bring that up during my first string of posting, especially because I've been offsite for months. I don't know, it felt subtly manipulative in a harmless way, which is what scum actually do rather than what people think scum do, if that makes sense.

I wasn't going to say anything about it because it's so early in the game, but seeing an exact opposite read, even if it was for a different reason was weird and I want it on record that I found it weird.

The post was actually me pushing something off about Ampharos, not Tris.

when you were questioned on your tris read, you said it was really an ampharos read, but in 121 you said that tris "screamed" scum. Why would you say that directly after 120 if you weren't using 120 to develop your tris read? What else in tris's ISO, then, were you calling scummy?

It feels like FL is like weirdly positioning himself around both ampharos and tris with 120/121

Flavor's play has so far been very strange. did he actually say he was trying to slayer's gambit to get the game rolling, or did i imagine that?

i actually liked Gamma's questioning of Ampharos, the wagon that formed there confuses me, but it's actually tris's vote there that surprised me the most.
i don't actually think i'm comfortable TRing Ampharos after that reads post, but it's difficult to explain why. they do have a really, really good handle on the mindsets of players, even correctly reading my cautious "why's that" to tris when she voted me early on

caution. because of course i did think she'd merely misunderstood i was kidding, but i wanted to be sure it was that and not lead her answer.

need more time with Ampharos to see what's what, the most i can say now is a hope they're indeed town.
Flavor Leaf has so far not done anything exciting, in spite of an apparent desire to get things moving, and is also hesitant to put reads down as though we need to be worried about that day 1.

i'm surprised to have gotten vocal support on the Pepper vote. that really was spaghetti flung at the wall to the highest degree, but at the same time there hasn't been anything else i've felt too strongly about.

Wolves can townside or scumside with mechanical information just as they can with their reads. A townsiding wolf is probably looking for maximum mechanical accuracy in order to try to buy towncred; a scumsiding wolf is just... not gonna make those posts. Let town lead themselves down the rabbit hole to their death, if that's what they're gonna do.

I PERSONALLY prefer to mechanically scumside as a wolf whenever possible, and thus my gut instinct is to lend Date some mild towncred for making a post that it's really easy for a wolf to just Not Make... but at the end of the day, it depends on what sort of player Date is. Which is not something I'm familiar with.

i realize that knowing my main would not help, given if i understand correctly, you don't really play on ms.
but i've never been able to lie about my own mechanical beliefs as scum, though that's just my personal style. it

is

sometimes useful given an unfortunate tendency for players to associate having similar mechanical beliefs with being the same alignment. in my experience it takes rare skill to successfully argue for and use a mechanical stance that actively hurts town.

though, as i write this i realize that in my last scumgame, we were forced to argue for mechanical decisions that benefited us explicitly... so i guess i'm full of shit. still, it was a much more dramatic situation than whether or not neighbours exist in a game.

anyways, i didn't like Pepper bringing up the possibility while not actually appearing paranoid of tris and Ampharos. at least, of off memory. it seemed unecessary.
