1. Assiting Lacey, I was with her last phase. If I'd chose I would have assisted neither as it was just a fight based on a misunderstanding, I checked Lacey in the Barbers.

2. I wanted to do something that would draw attention to my arms and make it harder for me to hide anything put in my arm, dissuading anyone from implanting something. And then If I then did get converted at least I'd be put out of my misery quickly, as people see it.
